This drama hooked me. It’s partly because of their meaningful lines delivered effectively.
Synopsis
Shi Jin is the captain of a Special Forces unit in South Korea. He and his friend Dae Young are off-duty when witnessing Kim Gi-bum, a young man, stealing a motorbike and trying to catch him. The thief is injured along the way and thus sent to the hospital. Dae Young realizes the thief has stolen his cell phone and goes to the hospital along with Shi Jin to get back his cellphone.
In the emergency room, Shi Jin meets Dr. Mo Yeon and is attracted to her instantly. As his nickname is ‘Big Boss,’ Mo Yeon mistakenly thinks he is part of the criminal gang. With the help of Myung Ju, he proves his identity.
Shi Jin and Mo Yeon start to date. Still, his special forces secret jobs result in their date interruption from time to time. Shi Jin is deployed to the country of Uruk. Meanwhile, Mo Yeon is being upset about being passed over for the professorship. When Shi Jin comes back and meets her again, they talk about their viewpoints of life and realize they are different. As a soldier, he kills to protect lives while she, as a doctor, tries to save lives. That’s why they agree to end their relationship.
On the other hand, Dae Young is in a difficult situation that he has to choose whether to risk being forced out of the army or continue his relationship with Myung Ju.
Eight months later, Mo Yeon is assigned to Uruk as the leader of a voluntary medical team. There, she reunites with Shi Jin. Through time together in Uruk, their love for each other becomes stronger. She understands more about Shi Jin's job. In Uruk, she accidentally confesses her feelings, and they officially start dating.
They continue their relationship after coming back to Korea. Shi Jin and Dae Young then disappear and are assumed to be dead after being sent on a classified operation. After months, Mo Yeon decides to commemorate Shi Jin’s death by being one volunteer abroad in Albania. This is where he finds her on the day of his death anniversary. They are happily reunited with each other.
