"The Day" Kdrama Ep.5-7: Quick Review

Rohee is such a genius master planner! The Kidnapping Day (aka The Day) episode 7 was amazing and I’m still in awe after watching it. Episodes 5 and 6 are great as well.

Ro-hee & Myeong-jun's duality

They are such a cute couple. Myeong-jun always makes light of everything, and Ro-hee can finally relax and have fun with him.

Why there's plenty of good food in front of her, Ro-hee only likes eating what Myeong-jun made for her.

Myeong-jun is so unserious~ I can’t help but smile when he cracks himself up. He’s such a goofball but I adore him.

Ro-hee can smile, which matches her age, when she is with him. 

There's one thing you forgot to do as a kidnapper. I'm calling to negotiate.

Yeah, finally a negotiation! BUT

Myeong-jun is terrible at negotiating. He ruined the plan in less than a minute.

Ro-hee was so relieved and happy when Myeong-jun came out of the room alive, and then he started dancing like nothing happened. They are so adorable together. Ro-hee is the secret agent of her scheme. She misleads everyone, including the cops, Jaden, and maybe the doctor too, to help herself and Myeong0jun get away.

They're always on the same wavelength, the father and daughter.

They enjoy their bonding time, the father and daughter, digging in the sand by the shore.

If he is really rooting for myeongjun and rohee to escape and Secretly helping them imma gonn call him baby girl. And when he decides to change side I hope he won't die 🙄

More characters become adorable

I hope he'll be on Myeong-jun and Ro-hee’s side and secretly helping them escape. And if he switches sides, I hope he doesn’t get killed.

She makes me like her role. I hope Dr. Mo is r on the same team as Myeong-jun and Ro-hee.

Some stories are suspicious

It's strange that the company security worker and your wife are acquainted. (Do-hee to Myeong-jun)

I can’t believe that Hye-eun is friends with the one who gave her those scars on her neck. How did she even meet the company security worker? I’m dying to know what’s going on!

This was the moment when Hye-eun felt betrayed by Dr. Choi, who chose Choi Jin-tae over her. She looked at them with resentment and anger. This may be the beginning of her evil transformation.

Wow, so Dr. Choi experimented on other people besides Hye-eun and Jin-tae?!

Hye-eun’s gaze at Rohee’s parents was very telling. She is a complex character who mixes lies and truths in her testimony. I find her fascinating because I can never tell what she is thinking.

The actress playing Hye-eun was amazing in the interrogation scene. She showed many different emotions! She nailed it!

Besides, I don’t think Mr. Park was the real murderer of Choi Jin-tae. He was probably protecting someone else (e.g., the main culprit). 

Hye-eun and Mr. Park may want to kill the Chois because of their past conflict. Mr. Park might not be the killer, but he could be protecting Hyeeun because he feels guilty and indebted for what he did to her before. Anyway, the case involves kidnapping and killing two people, but the story doesn't make sense. There are some gaps in his statement and Hye-eun must have a role in it.

Rohee keeps suspecting Hye-eun, which can be a hint?! Because Ro-hee, the genius child, couldn’t stop talking about her.

- My name is Park Sang-yun.

I finally see Myeong-jun and Sang-yun together, but I also can’t stop laughing at how clueless Myeong-jun is. The comedy in this show is so well done.

I hope to see Ro-hee, Myeong-jun, and Sang-yun together in the same scene someday. They would be my favorite trio of the year.~
