Comments:
- Kimchi is a superstar
- How can they not like jeon???
- Samgyetang is either a love or hate thing, but is it too strong for their taste? I didn’t expect that
- I thought army stew was very popular with them.
- Do they have the taste buds of a baby?
- I’m more surprised that they both like and dislike kimchi
- There’s a samgyetang restaurant near my house and 80% of the customers are foreigners
- When I was young, I lived with Italian kids and they thought meat products like spam were junk food. They didn’t want to eat my side stew even though I made it for them haha lol. They liked other soups like cabbage miso soup, steamed egg custard soup, bean sprout soup, etc. But I was surprised that they refused to eat budaejjigae,
- I can’t stand kimchi, but I do like kimchi jjigae.
- I’m Korean and I don’t like samgyetang and jeon either.
- I don’t like foods like sundae, offal, sannakji, and things like that.
- The chopsticks are the biggest reason haha. They don’t like samgyetang because they can’t use chopsticks well.
- Generally, they like meat dishes like galbi, bulgogi, pork belly, japchae, and soy sauce-based foods. And gimbap, tteokbokki, and budaejjigae are really polarizing. Some people hate them so much, but some people love them so much.
- Japanese people are famous for liking chicken, and Chinese people also eat it well. But I think they like jjimdak more than other countries. Oh, and they especially like the steamed high-quality samgyetang with a lot of ginseng and Chinese herbs.
Westerners don’t like soup or stew dishes or the extreme spiciness of budaejjigae. But the ones who like it really love it so much that they even bring it to their home country and contact me saying they miss the taste of Korean side stew. I think it’s a personal preference like spam and baked beans. There are many Koreans who don’t like eggplant and cucumber, so they don’t eat dishes with those ingredients.
- Did you forget to mention soju because it’s not Korean food? Foreigners really don’t like soju. It’s like drinking experimental alcohol.
- You don’t have to believe this, but when you get in a good mood, you can eat anything and say it’s delicious. Why are you promoting kimchi to be one of the must-try Korean dishes? Promote bulgogi. What about the texture of tteokbokki? Foreigners don’t like it. But now I see that all foreigners who like Korean food say it’s delicious.
- My friend hates cold vegetables.
- Tteokbokki is not liked by foreigners. They don’t like the chewy texture of rice cakes.
- Foreigners are not only Westerners. Japanese people also like grilled fish and tteokbokki.
- Is it because there is spam in the stew? I heard that in foreign countries, spam was eaten during the war.
