According to Rakuten Viki, a global OTT (over-the-top) platform that streams Asian dramas and films in more than 190 countries, "Twinkling Watermelon" was the most-watched show in 12 regions including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, Sweden, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, and more during the week of its finale. Additionally, "Twinkling Watermelon" made it to the top five in 64 countries.
"Twinkling Watermelon" is a fantasy coming-of-age drama that stars Ryeoun, Choi Hyun Wook, Seol In Ah, and Shin Eun Soo. It tells the story of a CODA (child of deaf adult) student who has a musical talent and accidentally travels back to 1995 through a mysterious music shop. There, he joins forces with other mysterious young people to form the band Watermelon Sugar.
