"Like Flowers in Sand" Episode 11 Recap: A New Twist in the Murder Mystery

[Jan 24] "Like Flowers in Sand" Episode 11: Ratings, Recap & More

The previous episode revealed that the killer of both Chil-Seong and Mi-Ran's dad was a local. Baek-Du and Du-Sik thought that the reason for their deaths was a match-fixing scandal that Mi-Ran's dad, a wrestler, participated in with the killer two decades ago. The same person also took Chil-Seong's life recently.

Episode 11 begins with a flashback scene, where the young versions of Baek-du, Du-sik, Jin-su, Mi-ran, and Seok-hui are having fun together. Seok-hui has a disposable camera and he snaps photos of his friends. At the same time, Mi-ran’s father is having a tense conversation with someone and he looks worried.

The scene shifts to the present day, where the group of friends is trying to find out who killed Chil-seong. Du-sik tells them that the killer is still in the town because Chil-seong’s phone was briefly switched on there. Seok-hui admits that he was the one who turned on the phone, and he also says that he discovered Chil-seong’s secret phone at the reservoir.

Seok-hui explains that he followed Snowball, the town’s dog, who often went to the reservoir. He thinks that the killer deliberately let Snowball loose, hoping that he would lead him to the phone. He concludes that the phone must have some vital information that the killer wanted to erase.

Later, Baek-du walks Du-sik home and he encounters Snowball on the way. However, he also sees Pil-du, who arrives at the same spot. Baek-du becomes suspicious of Pil-du because he knows that someone releases Snowball every night. Meanwhile, Seok-hui gets a tip from Snowball’s owner, who says that she saw a man outside her house and that he had a physique similar to a ssireum wrestler.

Seok-hui shares this tip with Du-sik. They decide to check the alibis of everyone in the town on June 7th, the day when Chil-seong’s body was found. They find out that everyone has an alibi, except for Pil-du. Baek-du confides in Du-sik that he suspects Pil-du of being the killer.

However, when Baek-du goes home, he sees Pil-du drinking with his father. He overhears them talking about Joo Cheol-yong’s case. He learns that Pil-du felt guilty for giving false information to the police during the investigation. Baek-du realizes that Pil-du is not the killer.

The group then devises a plan to lure the killer out by using Mi-ran as bait. Du-sik asks Mi-ran to tell the town that she is Cheol-yong’s daughter and that she has some crucial evidence that could solve the case. However, later that day, someone shows up at the cafe and questions Mi-ran about the evidence that she claims to have. The episode ends with a cliffhanger.

Episode 11 takes the story to a whole new level, making it the most exciting one so far. The investigation becomes the main focus of the episode, creating a fascinating web of evidence and secrets. This episode delivers every piece of information with skill, which makes it easy for you to keep up with the complex plot. Since the information flows smoothly, the story has a logical and consistent structure. As the episode ends, the excitement for the final episode grows.

The Final Episode Was Postponed

[Jan 24] "Like Flowers in Sand" Episode 11: Ratings, Recap & More

Episode 12 of Like Flowers in Sand was postponed just before the identity of the culprit was revealed.

Originally, the final episode of 'Flowers Bloom in the Sand' was scheduled to air at 9 pm on the same day. However, at 8:30 pm on the 25th, the Korea-Malaysia relay was announced.

ENA didn't broadcast the Asian Cup, but it seems that they were worried about the decline in ratings due to the large-scale sports event.

As the schedule changed due to the broadcaster's circumstances, the viewers' voices of regret poured out. It was because the identity of the culprit of the incident that occurred in Geosan 20 years ago was about to be revealed.

The rerun time of 'Flowers Bloom in the Sand' is based on episode 11, 4:56 pm, 7:54 pm on the 25th, 11:45 am, 9:20 pm on the 26th, 9:40 pm on the 27th, and 6:25 pm on the 28th on ENA.
