The 9th episode of “Marry My Husband”, which aired on January 29, attracted an impressive 9.8% of the national audience, according to Nielsen Korea. This marks a new high for the show, which improved by 1.2% from its previous rating of 8.%. Let's applaud the actors and staff of “Marry My Husband” for their achievement!

Episde 9 was full of satisfying events. Ji-Won takes control of her life and pursues her plan to change her fate for the better.

In the episode, Ji-Won meets the parents of her fiancé, Park Min-Hwan (Lee Yi-Kyung). She makes Min-Hwan buy her a lot of expensive clothes, shoes, and a very pricey bag for the occasion. She also has a fierce confrontation with Min-Hwan's mother, which results in the wedding being called off.

Ji-Won saves Soo-Min from drowning but gets betrayed

The 9th episode of the show picks up from where episode 8 left off, with the lavish engagement party of Ji-Won and Min-Hwan. Jung Soo-Min (Song Ha-Yoon) is furious after Min-Hwan asks Ji-Won to marry him. She tries to apologize to Ji-Won for her previous rude behavior later that night. When Ji-Won doesn't accept her apology, Soo-Min jumps into the deep water on purpose.

Ji-Won is a kind person at heart, so she saves Soo-Min when she sees her drowning. However, Soo-Min attempts to drag Ji-Won down into the water with a wicked grin. She seems to have no regard for their lives. Luckily, Yoo Ji-Hyuk (Na-In-Woo) comes to their rescue in time. They both survive, but Ji-Won is shocked by Soo-Min's actions underwater.

Ji-Won stands up To Min-Hwan’s mother and ends the relationship

"Marry My Husband" episode 9 gets more interesting when Ji-Won decides to make Min-Hwan suffer by shopping excessively. She makes him spend a fortune on her clothes, shoes, and a costly bag. She does this to prepare for their meeting with Min-Hwan's parents. When the day of the meeting arrives, Ji-Won makes sure she has the advantage over everyone.

The meeting takes place at Baek Eun-Ho's (Lee Gi-Kwang) new restaurant. Ji-Won intentionally shows up late, annoying Min-Hwan and his parents. She also wears a bold and stunning outfit, which clashes with Min-Hwan's mother's ultra-conservative views.

During the meal, they discuss how Ji-Won should behave after the marriage. Min-Hwan's mother gives Ji-Won a long list of household chores that she must do after she marries Min-Hwan. The list includes taking care of the whole family, cooking for them, cleaning the house, and raising their kids well. Ji-Won agrees to everything at first, but she refuse to keep her office job while looking after all of that household stff. And she gets angry when Min-Hwan's mother insults her father and her upbringing.

At the end of the episode, Ji-Won teaches Min-Hwan's mother a lesson by pointing out her mean and hurtful words. She then breaks up with Min-Hwan and leaves the restaurant. Min-Hwan tries to stop her and get her back, but she uses her new martial arts skills and throws him to the ground. The episode ends with that scene.

He wonders if she would be fine with him being with another woman. Ak-Hee reminds her that she said she loved him the other day and was glad that he turned down the queen's offer. But he gets more puzzled by her actions when she hugs him and realizes that he isn't Sajo Hyeon but Ak-Hee.

He feels heartbroken after realizing that she is worried about Sajo Hyeon and not him. Ak-Hee shouts at her and begs her to come back to him and love only him. Kyera rejects his love and says, "I appreciate your help and kindness. I'm grateful for that. But the problem is..." She pauses, and Ak-Hee says, "You never had feelings for me."

Ak-Hee then goes back to his room and starts to search for Shaman Cheong-Ta. He wants to get rid of Sajo Hyeon for good and win Kyera's heart. Meanwhile, his behavior at the court makes Sajo Yung (Hwang Hee) doubt that he is Sajo Hyeong. Ak-Hee arrives and fights him. When Ak-Hee is about to stab Sajo Yung, Kyera stops him with a weak voice. When she regains consciousness, she sees Ak-Hee waiting for her. He tells her to leave as he can't bear to see her hurt, even though she doesn't love him.

He persuades her that he will let Sajo Hyeon take over his body if she agrees to leave the palace. She asks to see Sajo Hyeon one last time before she goes. At first, Ak-Hee refuses, but he grants her wish in the end. The episode ends with Ak-Hee's tearful farewell to Kyera as he lets Sajo Hyeon take over. They have a passionate reunion and kiss.
