Jang Na-ra fired a signal flare of revenge in "My Happy Ending."
In the 4th episode of TV Chosun’s ‘My Happy Ending’, which aired on the 7th, Seo Jae-won (played by Jang Na-ra) became a more cold-hearted woman who sought revenge, creating a "cider" moment for the viewers.
Just so you know: Cider is a Korean slang word that means something refreshing or satisfying. It's often used to describe a scene in a drama or a movie where the protagonist gets revenge or justice.
On this day's broadcast, Jae-won was startled to see Heo Soon-young (Son Ho-jun), who was playing with her daughter on the CCTV installed in her house, appear in front of her eyes at the same time, and headed home, sobbing and shaking in the car.
Jae-won shouted at Soon-young, who asked what was wrong, "Why did you leave the kid alone at home!" and when Soon-young, who was flustered by the story of his missing twin brother Heo Chi-young, said that only Seo Jae-won and her daughter were his family. Jae-won warned, "Don't ever forget what you just said."
Meanwhile, Jae-won met Yoon Teo (Lee Ki-taek), and when Yoon Teo said he would go to the police station and talk about the incident with Baek Seung-gyu (Oh Hyun-jung). She dissuaded him, saying, "I'm trying to protect everyone."
Also, when she found out that the stalker who broke into the company was Baek Seung-gyu and that the 1st person Baek Seung-gyu called was Heo Chi-young, she burst into a hollow voice. Then, she dropped a glass cup at the coffee shop, and she stood still, even though blood was flowing from her hand, which was tightly holding the broken glass pieces.
Jae-won installed CCTV in her house, heightening the tension. She went to find Kwon Yoon-jin (So Yi-hyun) and asked her why she didn't introduce the person she was dating to her. And she gave him a cold look and had a tense nerve war.
Then, Jae-won appeared on a family entertainment show to promote Dereve and pretended to be harmonious. When Nam Tae-ju (Park Ho-san) found out and told her about the nursing hospital where Heo Chi-young had last gone, she ignited her will to find the truth and moved to the parking lot in a hurry. At that time, Yoon Teo, who met him in the parking lot, took the steering wheel instead of Seo Jae-won, who looked precarious. Jae-won heard from the staff of the nursing hospital where Heo Chi-young had been that Chi-young had died last year and that Soon-young, who told her that he knew nothing about Heo Chi-young's whereabouts, had held the funeral. She was shocked.
Jae-won finally realized that Soon-young had completely deceived her, and she conveyed her complicated and intricate feelings to Yoon Teo through a conversation. Jae-won said to Yoon Teo, who drove her home, "It's hell just to think that the person you love has a different side," and she went into the house and lay down on the bed with a hunched posture, spending the night with her eyes open, giving her deep loneliness and fear.
The next day, Jae-won, who was staring at the CCTV in her house, enlarged the video of her daughter, and confirmed that there was a ribbon on his daughter's clothes that had fallen off. She had a cold expression on her face when she found out that the CCTV in her house had been tampered with.
Then, Jae-won joined Soon-young for dinner with Yoon-jin and her parents. When Yoon-jin's mother said, "Our Yoon-jin should meet a man like Professor Heo," Jae-won threw a bombshell, saying, "Don't worry. She's dating Professor Heo" before saying "I mean someone who looks like Professor Heo."
Also, when Soon-young, who returned home, kept getting phone calls, Jae-won asked him, "Heo Soon-young? Heo Chi-young? Or both?" and then delivered a decisive blow, saying, "Clean things up with Kwon Yoon-jin," and foreshadowed a stormy blue.
