"My Happy Ending" ep. 6 recap: Who's her real dad? - Another head twist

Jang Na-ra plays the role of Seo Jae-won, the CEO of the lifestyle furniture brand "Dereve," in TV Chosun's weekend mini-series "My Happy Ending." She reveals the hidden side of the people she believed to be the biggest force behind the success of "Dereve" and expresses the shaken psychology of Seo Jae-won in detail, monopolizing the atmosphere of the drama.

Above all, in the 6th episode of "My Happy Ending" aired on the 14th, Jang Na-ra coldly said to Heo Soon-young (played by Son Ho-jun), who was reported to the police for plagiarism of "Dereve design," "There was no way... If you're arrested, the judge [for custody] will think differently." This revealed the desperation of Seo Jae-won, who wanted to secure the custody of her child by any means.

However, when the incident made the news, Jae-won recalled the words that Soon-young said to him, "Do you think you have the right to say that to me?" and was confused.

Also, Jang Na-ra brought up the story of Choi Ki-ja (played by Lee Dong-jin), who wasn't asked by Nam Tae-ju (played by Park Ho-san), and said that there was an anonymous informant who reported the receipt of insurance money by Seo Chang-seok (played by Kim Hong-pa). Her expression hardened. Moreover, Jang Na-ra vividly portrayed the fear of Jae-won, who recalled the incident of a stalker breaking into her office when she heard a loud noise, conveying her trauma.

And Na-ra ran to the house at the lawyer's words that if the spouse hid a defect such as mental illness, it could be a reason for divorce, and put the drugs in the safe in her bag without thinking, capturing the behavior of Jae-won in detail, raising the tension.

Soon-young caught her off guard doing so. I'm pretty sure that he's aware of her psychiatric problem. Na-ra was frustrated and said, "Please explain to me. What made you change like this. What did I do wrong?" when Soon-young insisted that Arin should be with him.

Soon-young made a shocking remark, "I wish you could feel what it's like to live in hell." And Jae-won, as if determined, asked Nam Tae-ju to find out Soon-young's call records and financial transactions as soon as possible.

Also, Jae-won, following the lawyer's advice to make a public opinion against the mistress, called Kwon Yoon-jin (played by So Yi-hyun) to the company and proposed an artist contract, spitting out sarcasm.

Soon after, Jae-won, who attended the 'Ye In Foundation Sponsorship Night', received Soon-young's call records and financial transactions from Tae-ju, who suddenly appeared. It's also worth mentioning that even though Yoon Te-O (Lee Ki-Taek) was aware of Jae-Won's scheme to ruin his design and blame her husband, he didn't stop her at all. This shows that he felt strongly for her.

Jae-won went on stage and shouted to the reporters, "Do you really want to know the truth?" and cried, drawing attention. But at that moment, she was shocked by the texts from an unknown number with pictures related to her, hidden pills, and current pictures.

Meanwhile, Soon-young discovered a clue about Seung-gyu in Yoon-jin's car and confronts her about him. She denies having any knowledge of this man, and Soon-young warned her that he will tell her father. She accused him of being weird and attempted to divert the topic. It appears that she was fully aware of Seung-gyu's fate.

At the end of episode 6, Jae-won checked the link of "Dorim Bio" that was with the text "Don't forget. What you did that day" from an unknown number, and called "Dorim Bio" when she saw that Soon-young also had a call record with this company.

When she heard that the company was a paternity testing company, she was shocked and ran to the house when she heard that the result was mailed. Jae-won found the "Dorim Bio" envelope by searching the house like crazy. And she transformed into a dark-eyed and crazed face, revealing the extreme pain of falling into a maze. Soon-young isn't Ah-rin's father? Then, who is the real dad? Hopefully, hopefully, it's Teo. Though I'm not sure he'll turn out bad or good (as "My Happy Ending" is made of a web of lies~), he seems so caring to Jae-won until now. Is it only me but Ah-rin looks like Teo.

Jang Na-ra maximized the extreme emotions of determination and frustration in one episode. She's shining with her exquisite expression and leading empathy to the higher level for Jae-won, who was struggling to secure custody.

"My Happy Ending" airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 p.m.
