[Spoiler] My Happy Ending" Jang Na-ra & Ho-joon reveal fantastic chemistry from sweet days

TV Chosun’s "My Happy Ending" revealed the full love story timeline of Jang Na-ra and Son Ho-joon, from their past dating days to their current happy family.

The weekend miniseries "My Happy Ending" (written by Baek Sun-hee/directed by Jo So-won/produced by Story Vine Pictures, High Ground, IEN Culture) is receiving praise for its solid narrative that connects the tense events organically, the delicate mise-en-scene that sensuously depicts the human psychology of confusion, doubt, fear, anxiety, horror, etc., and the synergy of the actors such as Jang Na-ra, Son Ho-joon, So Yi-hyun, Lee Ki-taek, Kim Hong-pa, and Park Ho-san.

In episode 8, which set a new record for its own highest viewership rating, the cruel fate that entangled Seo Jae-won (Jang Na-ra), Heo Soon-young (Son Ho-joon), and Kwon Yoon-jin (So Yi-hyun) was revealed, immersing the viewers. Jae-won, who lost her memory, Soon-young, who learned of Jae-won’s bipolar disorder, and Yoon-jin, who went on a rampage due to her ex-boyfriend who came out of Jae-won’s hotel room 7 years ago, showed their different sides, foreshadowing a bigger storm to come.

The "woo.haeng.si" scenes of Jang Na-ra and Son Ho-joon, full of laughter, from their innocent dating memories to their harmonious family time with their daughter, drew attention. The scenes that contain the happy moments of Jae-won and Soon-young in the drama. First, in their past dating days, Jae-won with long hair, and Soon-young with horn-rimmed glasses dated at a meat restaurant, looking at each other with a constant smile. The sight of Jae-won enjoying just watching Soon-young grilling meat amplifies the sweet excitement.

Just so you know: Woo.haeng.si (우행시) is a Korean word that means acrostic poem. It is a poem where the first letter of each line spells out a word or a message.

The scenes of Jae-won and Soon-young reviving their romance with a warm smile, after losing their memory due to anterograde amnesia, also raise expectations. Soon-young holds Jae-won, who is confused, and tells her his sincerity and Jae-won gives him a trusting look.

Also, when Jae-won holds Soon-young’s hand and talks to him, he responds with a gentle look. Especially, Soon-young and Heo Arin (Choi So-yul), who visited Jae-won’s company, burst into laughter with Jae-won, creating a cozy atmosphere of a happy family of 3. It makes us wonder if Jae-won and Soon-young, who have found their precious family again by losing the memory, will have a bright future.

Jang Na-ra and Son Ho-joon unleashed the fantastic chemistry that they have built up solidly while filming the "true woo.haeng.si" scenes. The two checked the details of the scene carefully, exchanging opinions, and made the viewers cheer with their perfect match of angles and movements.

Moreover, in the scenes with Choi So-yul, Ho-joon’s playful remarks triggered a round of laughter. The strong teamwork of trust in each other led to a pleasant energy, creating a heartwarming masterpiece.

The production team said, “Jang Na-ra and Son Ho-joon are proving their perfect match from their visuals to their acting harmony.” They also asked the viewers to watch “how Jae-won, who lost her painful memory due to anterograde amnesia, and Soon-young, who is suffering after learning of Jae-won’s illness, will regain their happiness as before.”

The weekend miniseries "My Happy Ending" is a desperate struggle of a woman who faces the "me" she has been ignoring to regain her true happiness after the things she believed to be true were shattered and all that was left was unhappiness. The 9th episode will air at 9:10 p.m. on the 27th.
