[Feb 9] "Between Him and Her" Episode 7: Rating & Recap

Channel A’s “Between Him And Her” had a modest 0.3% rating for its episode 7. This episode heightened the dramatic interest by showing Jung Hyun-sung (played by Lee Dong-hae) and Han Sung-ok (played by Lee Seol) missing each other after breaking up. Here, Lee Dong-hae, drunk, called Lee Seol “I wonder if I can take it back now… Do he and Lee Seol had a chance to reverse their relationship?

A missed opportunity for Hyun-sung and Sung-ok

Earlier, a three-way confrontation between Hyun-sung, Sung-ok, and Kim Gun-yeop (played by Yeon Je-hyung), who were selling clothes in front of the café, was depicted. The three exchanged awkward greetings in an embarrassing situation, and Sung-ok asked Geon-yeop for coffee, leaving Hyun-sung alone. 

At this time, Hyun-sung tried to get up the courage to make an appointment with Sung-ok, but the appearance of Geon-yeop, who had bought coffee, caused him to miss the timing again.

Hyun-sung's new career path

After Sung-ok and Geon-yeop left, Hyun-sung took out the business card of Lee Myung-jin (played by Lee Ki-hyun), a famous fashion platform, and went to Park Joon-beom (played by Yang Taek-ho), the CEO of Winders and a senior with him, as if he had made up his mind. 

Junbeom offered Hyunsung a job as a designer at Winders instead of joining Hyunsung’s brand, and Hyunsung said, “I’ll do it. I’m going to do my best,” he said, showing a completely different look than before. 

Hyunsung, who got a job at Winders, stopped drinking and focused on his work to achieve his goals. And even the insomnia he had been suffering from after his breakup with Sung-ok disappeared.

Sung-ok’s lingering feelings for Hyun-sung

On the other hand, even though it had been 3 months since she broke up with Hyunsung, Sung-ok still had a dream about Hyun-sung and had a hard time remembering only the good things that happened when she was in a relationship with Hyun-sung. Sung-ok realistically portrayed the pain after a breakup, increasing the drama’s immersion.

A cliffhanger ending

At the end of "Between Him and Her" episode 7, Hyunsung, who attended a dinner party at the instigation of the staff, thought of Sung-ok in his drunken state and wondered, “I wonder if I can’t take it back now.” And he finally called Sung-ok. 

Sung-ok, who was in tears while sorting out her memories with Hyun-sung, was about to delete the photo for the last time, saying, “We really liked each other.” But she was about to tremble at Hyun-sung’s phone call at the right time. Hyun-sung was depicted in an ending where the phone rang and he blamed himself for what he had done. Then Sung-ok called him again, which stimulated the dopamine of the viewers.

Channel A’s Friday drama “Between Him And Her” will be broadcast at 11:10 p.m. on the 16th.
