"Between Him and Her" episode 9 highlight
Jung Hyun-sung (played by Lee Dong-hae), who was preparing for a meeting ahead of a collaboration with a magazine, meets Han Sung-ok (played by Lee Seol) and Kim Gun-yeop (played by Yeon Je-hyung), who are in charge of a jewelry brand.
Hyun-sung had previously accepted a project with the jewelry brand, following the proposal of Park Joon-beom (played by Yang Taek-ho), the CEO of Winters, where he was adapting to his social life. This foreshadowed the meeting between Hyun-sung and Sung-ok.
Lee Myung-jin (played by Lee Ki-hyun), who was conscious of Hyun-sung, showed his jealousy when he heard that Hyun-sung was having a concept meeting with the jewelry brand. Sung-ok and Gun-yeop, who arrived at Hyun-sung’s office, showed their nervousness without knowing that Hyun-sung was at Winters.
Hyun-sung then headed to the meeting room with his materials and was unable to hide his embarrassment when he met Sung-ok and Gun-yeop. Gun-yeop was also surprised, exchanged business cards with Hyun-sung, and glanced at Sung-ok next to him. The participants of the meeting were amazed once again by the projects that Hyun-sung and Sung-ok had prepared.
The production team of "Between Him and Her" said, “Hyun-sung and Sung-ok will eventually meet as business partners after going around. We'll add more fun for the viewers by showing what will happen to Hyun-sung and Sung-ok, who have collaborated by chance, and what feelings Gun-yeop will have in between.”
Review
She didn’t bother to text him that she wasn’t going to show up. She left him hanging and when he finally reached her on the phone, I had mixed emotions. They make the male lead suffer so much in this drama.
But I also appreciate that they portray his pain more. Usually, they focus on the female lead. It’s refreshing to see a man who is vulnerable and emotional. He broke my heart in that phone call and I felt her anguish too.
The second male lead (her junior) is a different kind. He keeps pursuing the female lead with his flashy style, trying to woo her, and hoping to date her in one day. He seems to be a simp who wants the female lead’s attention.
Let me just say that "Between Him and Her" would have been better as a movie. I liked the start, but now it’s getting boring.
