[Feb 24 & 25] “Doctor Slump” Episode 9 & 10: Ratings & Recap

On February 24, JTBC’s “Doctor Slump” resumed its season with a 5.8% average rating nationwide. It reached new heights in viewership ratings on February 25. Nielsen Korea reported that “Doctor Slump” achieved a record-breaking average rating of 8.2% for its 10th episode.

Episode 9

After breaking up with Ha Neul, Jeong Woo moves out of her house and faces his PTSD. Wol Seon gets a phone call from her friend who wants to set up Ha Neul with the son of a hospital director. Jeong Woo joins a new clinic, where he has to deal with his traumatic memories and the doubts about his surgical skills after the accident. 

He gets nervous when he hears about Ha Neul’s blind date. Ha Neul learns about Jeong Woo’s PTSD and the hospital situation from Hong Ran, and decides to support him.

Episode 10

Ha Neul works as an anesthesiologist at a plastic surgery clinic, while Jeong Woo tries to do surgery and succeeds, thanks to her presence. He wonders why she joined the team when she doesn’t like plastic surgery. They get to know each other better and comfort each other in their weaknesses. 

Jeong Woo finds out about Ha Neul and Kyung Min’s past affair from Hong Ran, and confronts Kyung Min, protecting his girlfriend and even fighting with him. He comes home and sees Ha Neul waiting for him, and they get closer as she takes care of his injury, leading to a possible romantic scene. This is confirmed during a group dinner when they reveal their secrets in a truth or dare game and later kiss passionately upstairs, similar to their previous intimate moment when she was healing his wound.

Review

The long-awaited kiss scene of the Jeong-Ha couple has finally arrived and delighted us as this green couple advances their relationship. And as usual, Ha-neul experiences another development in herself while Jeong-woo proves that he has been a green flag since their school days. The Jeong-Ha couple is surely setting an example of how to be a green-flag couple and soothing our hearts with their gradual growth each week. 

“Doctor Slump” is certainly surpassing itself every week with its plot and captivating viewers while the actors’ performances are touching hearts each week. Even the supporting characters are making us happy and adding a cherry on this cake which is warming our hearts every weekend.
