The funeral photographers’ plot and the Korean seal

We begin the 6th episode with the funeral photographers’ perspective, revealing how they killed old people to get the Korean seal. The cops figure out their motive, but they don’t know who they are. Kang-hyun’s senior is always harsh on her. The boss gives the case to Kang-hyun when he suspects that the Team 2 senior might have overlooked a serial killer case as natural deaths.

The hidden auction and the dark web trap

Kang-hyun and her team start looking for clues, while I-soo contacts Mr. Yoon, an underground information broker, to ask about the missing seal. After 3 days, Yoon tells I-soo that the seal is being sold at a hidden auction. The team makes a plan and I-soo and Kang-hyun dress up and go to the club. They act like a couple and get into the secret auction room. I-soo bids 1 billion for the seal and leaves. They put a GPS tracker in the money bag, and they follow a truck where the tracker is moving.

Unfortunately, they find out that the scammers have discovered the tracker and thrown it in a random truck. They check the auction CCTV footage, but they can’t see their faces. They ask the girl who sold the seal, but she says she doesn’t know them. She only let them in because she met them on the dark web. 

This gives I-soo an idea. He goes back to the same club the next day. He uses the dark web chat and pretends to be the girl, asking for a seal for 2 billion. The scammers, not knowing who is texting, agree to get a seal for the buyer (I-soo).

The final showdown...

To make this work, Kang-hyun asks her father to pretend to be an old man living alone, since the scammers target elderly men. He refuses at first, but he agrees later. They set up the trap. Days go by and finally the scammers show up at the house and get in. They use the same rice cake to make Kang-hyun’s father pass out (they don’t know who he is). Kang-hyun’s father plays along. 

Luckily, before the scammers can inject the nicotine syringe, Kang-hyun’s father fights back and the team arrives. They catch the scammers and solve the case. To save her senior’s face, Kang-hyun tells him to announce to the press that they caught the scammers together. They celebrate their victory that night.

News about I-soo and his donation of the Korean seal spreads. I-soo’s elder brother tells their father that I-soo is changing for the better and the father smiles. Seeing the father’s happy reaction, I-soo’s brother gets nervous. The next day, a woman shows her clients a space for sale on a floor. There, they see a shirtless man lying on the floor, dead. The 4 cops get to the scene and the episode ends.

Review

We finally get to see the true colors of the elder stepbrother who seemed so nice and kind. He was too good to be real as a stepbrother (no offense) but maybe he only cared for I-soo because he was an outcast. Now that I-soo is gaining popularity, the stepbrother might be jealous. 

This is just the beginning and we don’t know if he will stab his younger brother in the back but he could turn into a bad person. We hope he doesn’t break I-soo’s heart because he is the only one he relies on. But, maybe, the writers will do the opposite of what we want so let’s brace ourselves.
