After Son Ho-jun’s death "early exit"…♥Jang Na-ra, discharged from mental hospital→turned evil. Na-ra warned of ruthless revenge against So Yi-hyun with a "dark warning ending" and started a revenge battle of the century.

“My Happy Ending” episode 11 rating & recap

TV Chosun’s “My Happy Ending” improved its ratings, reaching an average of 2.9% nationwide for the night.

In episode 11, Seo Jae-won (Jang Na-ra) went to find out the truth about the death of her husband Heo Soon-young (Son Ho-jun). She showed her declaration of war against the wicked Kwon Yoon-jin (So Yi-hyun) and Kwon Young-ik (Kim Myung-soo).

Jae-won's mental hospital treatment

Jae-won voluntarily entered the isolation room of the closed ward in the mental hospital and devoted herself to treatment. During the consultation, the doctor asked her about her self-harm impulse and the previous situation where Jae-won fell from the Han River. But she said that she couldn't remember the face of the person who threatened her and was puzzled. 

Especially, Jae-won was friendly with Jo Soo-kyung (Lim Sun-woo), who turned out to be a hallucination, as an old friend. The doctor asked, “Do you still see Dr. Jo Soo-kyung?” and guessed Jae-won’s serious condition. 

Jae-won kept having nightmares and tried to ignore Soo-kyung who suddenly appeared. The doctor gave her homework about the nightmare, saying, “Maybe it reminds you of an unresolved problem?” And Seo Jae-won finally realized that she jumped into the Han River by herself, not by someone’s threat, and was shocked. After learning the truth, she cried out, “Why did I deceive myself? Maybe I made myself a monster to escape from reality.”

Her recovery & investigation

Then, Jae-won tried to get better by living a regular life, taking walks, and taking medicine regularly at the mental hospital. She also asked Yoon Tae-o (Lee Ki-taek) to watch over Yoon-jin and Young-ik during the visit. Moreover, she looked over the "Heo Soon-young case-related documents" that she secretly received from Tae-o and investigated by herself.

Yoon-jin’s obsession 

Meanwhile, Kwon Yoon-jin showed her obsession by buying gifts and visiting Jae-won’s daughter Heo Ah-rin (Choi So-yul). Jae-won decided to send Ah-rin to the United States according to Tae-o’s opinion, and shed tears of apology while talking to Ah-rin before leaving. 

At the same time, Yoon-jin asked Nam Tae-ju (Park Ho-san), who held hands with her, to find out that Soon-young had the recording file of the call when Baek Seung-kyu (Oh Hyun-jung) fell, and said that it would be with Jae-won. Also, seeing the picture of Heo Ah-rin leaving, she said, “It was mine from the beginning.” Tae-ju said, “Then she has two moms. One has to disappear.” and heightened the tension.

Jae-won's discovery of the truth

Later, Jae-won was surprised and stiffened when she heard from Oh Soo-jin (Kim Soo-jin), a detective who came to reinvestigate Soon-young's case, that  Soon-young punched Kim Sang-beom (Heo Hyung-kyu) the day before the incident. And Jae-won combined all the information she investigated, such as Soon-young’s poisoning death, the voice file of  Yoon-jin and Young-ik’s call when Seung-kyu fell, the stalker AMI and Yoon-jin’s 7 years ago, and Yoon-jin’s miscarriage that she heard from Tae-o. She learned that Ah-rin’s biological father was Kim Sang-beom.

Her return & revenge

Finally, Jae-won was discharged from the mental hospital. She ran out of breath and entered the office building at midnight, and said to Tae-o, who felt nostalgic, “I’m back.” 

When she went home with Tae-o, he was surprised by seeing the Heo Soon-young case-related documents and the pictures of Kwon Yoon-jin, Kwon Young-ik, Nam Tae-ju, and Kim Sang-beom that filled the floor of the study. Jae-won said, “I never forgot a single day while I was in the hospital. That my husband died.” and “That I was the reason he became like that.” She continued, “I’m going to forget everything now. To not forget one thing.” and expressed her firm determination. 

Jae-won asked Tae-o for help. Tae-o hinted that he would gladly help, saying, “A pilgrim who was saved by an angel a long time ago.” and subtly brought up his connection with Jae-won when he was young.

Jae-won, who started to take action, met Kim Sang-beom’s wife, who was abused by Sang-beom, and received the data that Sang-beom manipulated the results of the new drug clinical trial and reported it to the prosecution. When Sang-beom was investigated by the prosecution, Young-ik was embarrassed and said to his secretary who asked how to handle Sang-beom, “I’ll take care of it.” and got angry. Eventually, Sang-beom was hit by a car of Young-ik’s minion. And Seo Jae-won watched Sang-beom’s pain from across the street and turned her head.

At the end of episode 11, Jae-won changed her style and visited Yoon-jin’s exhibition hall. She handed a basket of flowers to the surprised Kwon Yoon-jin and bowed to the bewildered Young-ik. 

Jae-won approached Yoon-jin, who showed a cold attitude, and said, “You did that.” with a confident voice, and suddenly smiled brightly and hugged Yoon-jin, making her confused. Jae-won, who hugged Yoon-jin tightly, whispered, “Just wait a little. It won’t take long.” and sent a flashing look to Young-ik with a "dark warning ending." This makes us look forward to the bitter revenge.~
