Yul-seong doesn't give up and sends Sa-ra flowers the next day, but she doesn't appreciate them and returns them to his mother to inform her of his actions. She dials her mother’s number and is startled when a stranger answers the phone and tells her that the number has changed.

Ki-joon enters her office and Sa-ra shares with him about her mother’s number. Meanwhile, Cha Hui-won is furious with her son and confronts him. Yul-seong reveals to her that Sa-ra is involved with Young-a and that he wants to stop Ki-joon and Sa-ra from investigating Na Yu-mi’s case.

Sa-ra’s mother’s death anniversary and the shocking truth

Ki-joon notices Kang Bom carrying some items for a memorial service at Solution and learns that they are for Sa-ra’s mother’s death anniversary. He follows Kang Bom to Sa-ra’s house and offers to help with the preparations. Sa-ra is surprised but grateful for his presence and assistance.

They set up the items and talk about Yu-mi’s case, which is overheard by Yul-seong, who also shows up for the memorial service. He intrudes but Sa-ra doesn't welcome him and asks him to leave. Later, Yul-seong instructs his subordinate to track down the part-timer who saw him talking about getting rid of Yu-mi.

Sa-ra shows Ki-joon a photo of her mother when he says he never met her, but he is shocked when he recognizes her as the informant who vanished when he was working on Yu-mi’s case. He shows them the CCTV footage and Sa-ra is stunned when she realizes that her mother’s death may not have been a suicide.

Ki-joon tries to soothe her and Sa-ra keeps her emotions in check, but she breaks down again after he leaves. Ki-joon recalls seeing Yul-seong on the day of Sa-ra’s mother’s suicide and suspects that he may have something to do with it. The next day, Sa-ra and Ki-joon look for any clues about a witness who may have given the information to her mother.

The search for the part-timer and the video evidence

They discover that the part-timer Bae So-hee worked for her mother and may know something about the case. They search for her while Yul-seong sends his subordinate to do the same. So-hee is traumatized by a stalker and by Sa-ra’s mother’s death, which was triggered by the video she gave to her.

She runs away from anyone who approaches her and bumps into Sa-ra, who asks her to help her find out what happened to her mother. So-hee is hesitant to share anything and escapes from her as well. Sa-ra tries to find her but she is nowhere to be seen and goes to Ki-joon, who tells her about So-hee’s stalker.

He takes her home and gives her a cell phone with her mother’s number; telling her to call this number whenever she misses her mother as it now belongs to her. The next day, Sa-ra begs So-hee through messages to help her uncover the truth and So-hee finally agrees to do so.

At Solution, So-hee reveals how she obtained the video of Yu-mi blackmailing Yul-seong, which triggered his plot to murder her. She also confesses that she accompanied her mother to the prosecutor’s office, but lost sight of her when she went to the restroom. She witnessed Yul-seong’s henchman getting into the same car as her mother, who never came back.

This confirms Yul-seong’s role in Sa-ra’s mother’s death, and Sa-ra begs her to testify to the police, promising to protect her. Ki-joon inquires about the video, but is let down when she says it’s gone. So-hee hesitates to give her statement and keeps thinking.

Ki-joon’s comfort and confession

Ki-joon takes her home, but is worried about leaving her alone. He returns to her apartment but gets no answer. He fears something is wrong and tries to guess the password to the door. He is surprised when he enters with a combination of numbers that is his birthday. He finds Sa-ra on the floor, having a panic attack.

He soothes her and Sa-ra regains her composure. She cries as she remembers how her mother died unjustly. Ki-joon listens to her and she suddenly asks him how he got into the house. Ki-joon tells her that he used his date of birth as the password, which makes them both feel awkward.

Sa-ra tries to justify it, but Ki-joon says nothing and prepares to leave. However, he tells her that even though the chess piece on her table and the password to the house may not mean anything, he will hold on to a faint hope and wait for her. The next day, Sa-ra wakes up with a decision that makes her put the chess piece away. She meets Ki-joon at Solution and tells him that she acted out of emotion the previous night.

Ki-joon isn't offended and tells her that he likes her being emotional. Later, Ki-joon searches for a driver related to the case and discovers that he works for Chayul Firm. He goes to the driver’s house and finds the door unlocked, but no one is inside. However, he notices a pair of pricey shoes that don’t fit in the house.

The driver has gone to see Cha Hui-won. Sa-ra meets Young-a and declines her offer politely, then asks her for a favour. She tells her about her situation with Yul-seong. Later, another flower box arrives at Solution, but this time everyone is shocked when Sa-ra keeps the flowers.

She tells Ki-joon that Yul-seong proposed to her and she has made up her mind to go back to his house and execute her own plan. But Ki-joon is not pleased with her choice.

Review

“Queen of Divorce” is nearing its end and we're thrilled as the story takes a major turn from this episode onwards. However, the best part of this episode is undoubtedly the kiss between the Sa-Ki couple which was a delight for us <3. Moreover, the cuteness continues with the password and the chess piece and it's obvious that these two belong together.

Meanwhile, the Yu-mi case is getting complicated and we can see that Yul-seong isn't the only one involved but his mother as well. Maybe, this time’s reunion with Yul-seong will at least secure Sa-ra a generous alimony because some people are heading to jail soon.
