Proposal gone awry 

Jeong-woo is thinking about how to ask Ha-neul to marry him with a ring in his hand when it accidentally falls and rolls under the couch. While searching for it, Ha-neul helps him, and he gets so nervous that he blurts out that they’re looking for a ring. Then, cockroaches come out, scaring them both into yelling.

The next day, Jeong-woo tells his friend Dae-young about the mix-up. Dae-young feels sorry for him but suggests he shouldn’t rush the proposal since Ha-neul just started her job as an assistant professor. Jeong-woo agrees and decides to get her a bracelet instead.

When he gets home, Ba-da catches him and convinces him to buy some spicy rice cakes. While eating with Tae-seon, they joke about the cockroach situation. Jeong-woo says he planned to propose but chose to get a bracelet instead.

Jeong-woo learns that Ha-neul didn’t like a bracelet she got before, so he decides to get her a different piece of jewelry. The next day, Ba-da tells his mom about Jeong-woo getting money back from a fine, which made him wealthy.

Relationships & revelations 

Ha-neul hears about it and gets upset when Ba-da says Jeong-woo hangs out with him and their uncle because he has no friends after the incident. She leaves angrily. Later, she wants to surprise Jeong-woo, but he surprises her first, and they go for coffee.

Ha-neul tells Jeong-woo not to spoil Ba-da and shares her frustration about people writing bad things about Jeong-woo. He’s glad she cares and says he’s doing okay now that she’s with him.

Jeong-woo switches the conversation to his work, which is on a USB drive. Ha-neul goes to get it, but he stops her because he’s hidden her presents there. They get close, and Jeong-woo is about to give her the gifts when Ba-da interrupts.

Ha-neul takes Ba-da out, upset by his attitude towards Jeong-woo. Later, Jeong-woo tells Dae-young everything in front of an elevator. The doors open, and they see Hong-ran and a nurse who had an awkward moment with Dae-young. The atmosphere gets tense, and Jeong-woo pushes Dae-young to explain, causing him to yell at Hong-ran by mistake.

Jeong-woo finds out his charity surgery will be in the news, which Ha-neul dislikes because she doesn’t want him to be used. She gets angry about how people treat Jeong-woo. They have dinner, and Hong-ran joins them. Both women drink too much, and Jeong-woo calls Dae-young for help. The men take care of the tipsy women, who become hard to handle. Hong-ran admits that being in love feels like being drunk.

At first, the joy and fun are great, but the bad headache that comes after is scary. Meanwhile, Jeong-woo brings Ha-neul home. She calls her mom, who’s right there, and lies about working late. Then, she tells Jeong-woo she’ll stay with him overnight.

Wol-seon smiles at them, and Jeong-woo feels shy. The next day, as Jeong-woo is about to go to work, an old school friend comes to say sorry because Ha-neul asked him to. Jeong-woo forgives him, then gets a call from the hospital. They say they won’t write about his surgery because Ha-neul didn’t want them to. Jeong-woo is really happy to learn all that Ha-neul did for him, remembering her tipsy confession about seeing him sad a lot.

In “Doctor Slump" episode 15, Jeong-woo thinks about how Ha-neul’s always made him happy, even on bad days, as they walk to work. He starts getting ready for a young girl’s surgery. During the operation, Jeong-woo and Ha-neul have a big moment that changes their lives again. The surgery goes well, and they say goodbye to the girl. 

Later, Jeong-woo makes up with friends who left him before and introduces Ha-neul as his girlfriend. They’re shocked but then remember old times when Ha-neul was popular in school. 

Ha-neul says sorry for surprising Jeong-woo, but he’s thankful for her help. He teases her about her past fame, and she shares a funny story about a short date. Jeong-woo jokes he can do better.

Accidental confessions & unintended proposals

Elsewhere, Dae-young wants to text Hong-ran but accidentally sends a love message to his daughter. When she comes back, she guesses Dae-young likes someone and tells him to confess with flowers. Dae-young rushes to meet Hong-ran but trips and kisses her by accident. She’s surprised but says yes to his proposal. 

Ha-neul wonders if Jeong-woo wants to move, but he likes being close to her family. She hints at him joining her family, and he thinks it’s a proposal, which makes him cut his finger.

Ha-neul gets a bandage but finds jewelry boxes in his drawer. Jeong-woo admits he wanted to give them to her but didn’t know how. Ha-neul laughs and helps him with the bandage first.

He then brings up her recent proposal, but Ha-neul says she didn’t propose. Jeong-woo is shocked and shows her all the jewelry he got for her to explain himself. He dresses her up with everything, including a tiara, and then gives her the ring, asking her to join his life as his family, love, friend, and wife - he wants her to be all these for him.

Just then, Wol-seon tries to call Ha-neul, but Jeong-woo asks her not to answer, suggesting she tell her mom she’s working late. With this, he moves their relationship forward.

Review

The final week of the beloved show "Doctor Slump" has started, and it’s hard to say farewell to the couples we’ve watched grow. The Jeong-Ha pair, who have overcome their struggles together, and the Hong-Dae duo, who have quietly captured our hearts, have brought us joy.

The excitement may have lessened in the 15th episode, but the story continues to keep us engaged as it aims for a positive ending. It feels like a happy conclusion to the weekend, and the plot remains thoughtfully crafted.
