“Queen of Tears” episodes 5 & 6: Recap & review

[Mar 23 & 24] “Queen of Tears” Ep 5 & 6: Ratings, Recap, Review

In episodes 5 and 6, we learn more secrets about the characters and new mysteries appear. Starting where episode 4 left off, Baek Hyun Woo and Hong Hae In are safe in their room after a close hug. They have a tender moment, but when Hyun Woo is about to kiss Hae In, he suddenly leaves, which confuses her. She asks him why later.

Episode 5 shows us why they sleep in different rooms. After Hae In loses their baby, they argue about keeping the baby’s things. Hyun Woo wants to keep them, but Hae In wants to clear them out to focus on work. They argue, and Hyun Woo starts sleeping in the baby’s room. That night, they both cry alone.

Hae In goes to Germany to get better without telling Hyun Woo. He finds out from her aunt and goes to Germany to find her. She tells him the treatment didn’t work and she has only 2 months to live. They hug and spend the night together for the first time in 2 years. Hyun Woo talks to the German doctors to help Hae In. We also see how Hae In’s brother died and her mother blames her.

Meanwhile, Yoon Eun Sung, Cheon Da Hye, and Grace Kim try to make Baek Hyun Woo look guilty. They find his hidden divorce papers and send them to Hae In.

Review:

These episodes are sadder than the first four. The bad guys start to show their true colors and go after the Queens Group. The end of episode 6 leaves us wanting to know what will happen next. Will Hae In and Hyun Woo fix their troubled marriage?

“Queen of Tears” also looks at how serious Hae In’s health is. Hyun Woo now shows he really cares for her. It’s sad when they talk about her funeral and her wish to live, even though it’s unlikely.

The episodes are about 80–85 minutes long. Some scenes feel too long, like when Hyun Woo is thinking with music in the background. These scenes are important, but they drag on. Still, episodes 5 and 6 are worth watching.
