Review
The story is easy to guess, but I’m still interested to see how it evolves. The way the characters interact is fine. What I also really enjoy about this show is that they don’t keep secrets hidden for too long.
It feels like nobody really wins. Soo-hyun ended his father’s life, and his father was blamed for taking her son’s life, which isn’t true, but she believes he did it. She might have acted because he didn’t show any sadness or regret, and she was grieving for her only child.
On the other hand, Seon-yul’s father is gone, and he holds Soo-hyun responsible. But his father wasn’t a good man and didn’t care much for her son. It’s hard to feel bad for him. I get it, though, because in the end, that was his father, and he was taken away unfairly, but from Soo-hyun’s view, he got what he deserved.
It’s all very sad. If only they could understand each other’s feelings. I think this is why we don’t believe in "an eye for an eye" anymore; it only leads to more trouble. “Wonderful World" seems to be saying that seeking revenge only causes more sadness.
Besides, I’m curious about this unknown son of Kim-joon that Su-ho talked about and if he’s important. Maybe it’s Seon-yul (I doubt it, but you never know with these dramas). Or it could be the neighbor’s child. I can’t think of anyone else.
Morever, Han Yoo-ri looks guilty of having an affair; you can see the fear in her eyes when she talks to Soo-hyun and her sneaky husband. I’m wondering how Yoo ri got the money to start her business. Maybe Soo-ho gave her the money. There seem to be a lot of secrets that will come out soon.
