Kim Ha-neul, portraying Seo Jeong-won, is leading the drama by expressing a variety of emotions in detail. Jeong-won struggles to uncover the truth of the case while feeling anger over her husband Seol Woo-jae’s (played by Jang Seung-jo) betrayal.

On that day, Jeong-won became more suspicious of her husband after discovering that Woo-jae was in the building on the day Cha Eun-sae (played by Han Ji-eun) died. She was shocked to learn that he had another mobile phone and had discarded it after the murder case. Torn between trust and doubt in her husband, Jeong-won was greatly confused. Woo-jae earnestly pleaded his innocence.

The news that Eun-sae and Woo-jae were in an adulterous relationship caused a significant stir. Jeong-won felt a deep sense of betrayal after confirming a video showing Woo-jae and Eun-sae committing infidelity in the studio.

Woo-jae confessed that he felt pity for Eun-sae, who was struggling with loneliness and craving love. Jeong-won cried tears of anger at Woo-jae, who blamed everything on her.

A series of events led Jeong-won to show symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder. She continued to be tormented by recalling the scene of Eun-sae’s murder.

The hardships for Jeong-won continued. Her necklace was found at the scene of Eun-sae’s murder. However, Jeong-won realized that someone was trying to frame her as the culprit when she confirmed that Eun-sae’s hand didn't have her necklace in a photo taken when she arrived at the scene.

The situation began to turn against Jeong-won. Although the truth hadn't yet been revealed, she was already branded a murderer, and the program she had poured everything into for 3 years faced cancellation. Despite her efforts to reveal the truth and prevent the cancellation, it was in vain.

Moreover, citizens protesting to cancel Jeong-won’s program filled the front of the broadcasting station. In front of the press and citizens, she said, “I regret this situation. I also sincerely mourn the death of Ms. Cha Eun-sae. The part I’m being investigated for is currently under investigation, so I ask for your understanding,” and “I still believe in and love my husband,” denying that Woo-jae and Eun-sae had an affair.

At the end of episode 4, Jeong-won was shocked to learn that her psychiatrist, Yoo Yoon-young (played by Han Chae-ah), was in the studio with Woo-jae on the day Eun-sae was murdered, raising curiosity about the future development of the story.
