Seong-jae, whose affair was exposed, brazenly cornered Moon-young, driving her to despair. Regaining her composure, she started a media play campaign by delivering an anonymous exposé and materials about the "real face of C Law Firm’s CEO" to the newspaper.

In response, Yeon-ju handed over to Seong-jae the CCTV footage of Do Jin-woo (played by Lee Min-jae) visiting Moon-young’s house. Seong-jae used this video to manipulate public opinion, claiming it showed the “lies of an unfaithful spouse.”

At the same time, Seong-jae voluntarily appeared at the police station, claiming he was coerced by the deceased Ma Kang (played by Hong Seo-joon) to take Hwang Tae-soo (played by So Yoon-ho) to Ma Kang. And he consistently made false statements to claim his innocence.

Moon-young, realizing that Seong-jae and Yeon-ju’s responses were merely stalling for time, sought to uncover their true intentions. After a brief encounter with Choi Moo-won (played by Yeo Moo-young), who had regained his senses in front of her house, she investigated his identity based on his comment that “neither the legal team nor his eldest son could be contacted,” and discovered that he was the former chairman of Geumshin Industrial.

Instead of his 3 biological sons, Yeon-ju was with Moo-won. Based on his cryptic words, Moon-young investigated Geumshin Industrial and realized that Seong-jae and Yeon-ju were targeting the loan funds to be invested in the coastal village development project of Geumshin Industrial.

The amount targeted by Seong-jae and Yeon-ju was a whopping 80 billion won. Once the 80 billion won Geumshin Industrial PF loan for the coastal village development was executed, the entire amount would be transferred from the Geumshin Industrial account to a paper company account under Hwang Tae-soo’s name, after which the two planned to go to Zurich, Switzerland, to receive the money.

Yeon-ju took advantage of a moment when Moo-won wasn't in his right mind to use his fingerprint to breach Geumshin Industrial’s security server and get her hands on the loan-related documents. She then urged Seong-jae to move first, handing him boarding and flight tickets prepared under Tae-soo’s name, and methodically executed the plan.

However, Moon-young began her counterattack. Realizing the possibility of an overseas escape based on her daughter (played by Jo Eun-sol) saying, “I’ll follow Dad,” she requested the police to ban Tae-soo from leaving the country. The police began to act on Moon-young’s assertion that catching Seong-jae attempting to leave the country with a passport bearing Tae-soo’s photo would be definitive evidence.

At the same time, Moon-young, seeking to catch Yeon-ju, visited the Geumshin Industrial headquarters with Jin-woo and met the current chairman, Choi Ho-shik. Jin-woo provoked Choi Ho-shik (played by Joo Seok-tae) by pretending to be a loyal subordinate of Ma Kang and falsely claiming, “He doesn’t even realize he’s become a paper tiger, and he’s so scared that he doesn’t know he’s being robbed by the executive director.”

As soon as the 80 billion won loan for Geumshin Industrial was executed, Yeon-ju transferred it to Hwang Tae-soo’s account as planned. Seong-jae, waiting to depart at the passenger terminal with Yoon Seok-gu (played by Kim Min), hurriedly left his spot upon receiving the news of the travel ban and spotting the police and Jin-woo storming into the terminal.

Separated from Seong-jae, Seok-gu, while on the phone with Yeon-ju, realized that his briefcase had been switched when he bumped into a passerby and reported it to Yeon-ju. Yeon-ju’s face turned grim, and she hurriedly tried to leave her office but was arrested by the police. Meanwhile, Moon-young appeared, signaling the beginning of a bloody confrontation.
