[Apr 8-9] “Nothing Uncovered” Ep 7-8: Ratings, Recap, Review

Episode 7

Yoo Yoon-young immediately recognizes Tae-heon. Despite the sudden visit from the detective, Tae-heon is suspicious because she doesn’t seem flustered at all.

Seol Pan-ho suggests that if they can’t find the culprit, they should either fabricate one or hire someone to handle the company’s PR. Woo-jae warns against touching Jung-won, claiming that his own risk is greater than the risk of online public opinion. He says that if he doesn’t want to see himself self-destruct, which would also ruin his father, then they should leave Jung-won alone.

Yoon-young, who blatantly has no weaknesses but does have something going on, is revealed by Zeus to be Mo Su-rin, the daughter of the hospital owner, Mo Hyung-taek. Hyung-taek, who summoned Kang In-han, says that the scariest person in the world is a reporter. He doesn’t want to cover things up but wants to expose them clearly.

Kim Min-chul is unaware that the murder weapon was found in his house. Tae-heon says that even just the hidden camera photos are enough to arrest someone as a criminal on the spot.

Min-chul admits to the hidden camera, stalking, and malicious comments, but insists he didn't kill Eun-sae. However, he had drunkenly talked about killing her.

Woo-jae, while digging into Tae-heon, learns that Tae-heon and Jung-won used to date. Jung-won wants to see Tae-heon. He suggests they meet at home due to the presence of reporters. Woo-jae sees Tae-heon and Jung-won entering the same house, driving him to the brink of madness.

Tae-heon thought Woo-jae had hired Yoon-young to kill Eun-sae, but then Yoon-young’s alibi comes out. Tae-heon questions why she didn’t speak up properly if it wasn’t evidence she had been playing with because of Detective Cha. Jung-won, feeling insulted and hated for being treated as fake, didn’t speak up because she wanted to hurt as much as she had been hurt.

Look at this action. Woo-jae barges into Tae-heon’s house, questioning if Jung-won is conducting her investigation at the house of a detective… or rather, her ex-boyfriend. Woo-jae warns him as Jung-won’s husband not to bother his wife. Tae-heon asks, “You’ve had your fun, so why can’t your wife?” Is this a joke or what? This is hypocrisy, isn’t it?

Woo-jae, who had been following Jung-won, said it hadn’t been long since they broke up. But it was Tae-heon, and Woo-jae saw not only the way he looked at Jung-won but also the way Jung-won looked at him, asking if she was shaken.

Woo-jae, determined to resist the temptation of drugs during tough times, fills the bathtub with ice. He really is something.

Tae-heon confirms that the employee who leaked Min-chul’s recording knows Cha Geum-sae. A colleague confirms that Geum-sae did report Min-chul and that Min-chul did say those words.

Jung-won and Tae-heon are on the move, investigating everywhere. Tae-heon finds Eun-sae’s blood on a knife from Min-chul’s house, but it doesn’t match the fatal wound to the abdomen; it was a knife used for self-harm. The police are smart.

Jung-won knows Tae-heon’s habit of hitting the sandbag whenever a warrant gets buried. With just a few stories, Jung-won finds clues. She thinks the police made a mistake and goes to find Geum-sae.

Jung-won confirms that the knife has disappeared from Eun-sae’s house and remembers the four-leaf clover on the whale keychain she saw at the house, which Ba-reun had.

Jung-won, who was about to expose Geum-sae as the murderer, is told by Tae-heon not to say such reckless things again. She tells him not to have any feelings for her. That’s the way it should be.

Zeus suggests digging into Mo Su-rin if nothing comes up about Yoon-young. Zeus knows about the housekeeper dropping her phone when she was discovered. Jung-won, who has never said such things, thinks Zeus has been watching her. Could it be… Zeus has been following her? Who is this Zeus?

Whether it’s Zeus or not, Jung-won collapses from an anesthetic used by an assailant. Being a reporter is not for everyone.

Episode 8

Yoon-young starts her counterattack against Jung-won after Seol Woo-jae discovers all her secrets, heightening the tension.

Episode 8 revealed that on the day of Jin Myung-sook’s murder, Cha Geum-sae was seen fleeing with a bag left at her front door. Leaving behind a pleading Myung-sook, Geum-sae, who only took the money bag, recognized the whale keyring attached to it and became convinced that Jung-won, who recognized it, was the real murderer.

Jung-won, kidnapped by Geum-sae, regained consciousness in the office where Cha Eun-sae’s body was found. As Geum-sae was about to swing a jackknife at Jung-won, Kim Tae-heon, who arrived at the scene, engaged in a tense physical confrontation with the reckless Geum-sae.

Having narrowly escaped danger, Jung-won finds Tae-heon covered in wounds and sheds tears she had been holding back upon his apologetic words for being late.

Geum-sae, who was arrested on charges of kidnapping and injuring Jung-won, was interrogated by Tae-heon. Tae-heon used Geum-sae’s anxious state to intensify the interrogation, questioning whether it was Mo Hyung-taek who ordered him to watch Jin Myung-sook, thereby increasing the immersion of the drama.

The next day, Jung-won reported an exclusive article stating that Geum-sae was monitoring Jin Myung-sook under the orders of Mo Hyung-taek’s aide. Hyung-taek held an emergency press conference and admitted that his aide had instructed Geum-sae to monitor Myung-sook, a house helper. He also stirred up the world by revealing that he had sponsored Eun-sae like his own daughter until her high school graduation, amidst rumors of sponsorship.

A week later, Jung-won, who had decided to reveal the murderer of Eun-sae on her program, became anxious as the alibis of the suspects were confirmed. Tae-heon, who visited the broadcasting station, surprised Jung-won by revealing that the youngest reporter, Lee Ba-reun, was the one who had delivered Jin Myung-sook’s donations to the victims’ group of the landfill factory. Visiting Ba-reun’s house, Jung-won discovered a secret anonymous app on his computer and was shocked to learn that the anonymous informant “Zeus,” who had been providing her with secret information, was the youngest reporter.

Meanwhile, Woo-jae, while Yoon-young was drunk and asleep, discovered a photo of Jung-won’s necklace on a USB she had hidden, excitedly finding evidence and becoming furious at Yoon-young for trapping Jung-won.

At the end of episode 8, Yoon-young, realizing that Woo-jae had learned all the facts, handed over a photo of Jung-won visiting the scene of Eun-sae’s murder to Tae-heon, drawing a chilling ending.

The 9th episode of the KBS 2TV Monday-Tuesday drama “Nothing Uncovered” will be broadcast on the 15th at 10:10 PM.
