Is Han Mo-ne alive? In episode 4, K and his team are searching everywhere for Han-na. Do-hyuk tricks them by sending fake locations through the Children’s Home website. The police are confused, and people are upset, but K finds a clue that leads him to his holiday home. When he gets there, he thinks he sees Lee Hwi-so, but it’s actually Do-hyuk wearing a mask.
K believes Lee Hwi-so has returned and can’t do anything about it. Do-hyuk calls the police to K’s place and makes K pass out with gas.
In the meantime, La-hui, Ju-ran, and Chul-woo hurry to the holiday home and find Ki-tak there. They’re shocked to see him because they thought he was gone. Ki-tak tells them that their pretend hero is caught inside, and the police are coming. They go in to save K and find out that Lee Hwi-so and Do-hyuk are working together.
K is angry to see Ki-tak is still around, but they can’t escape before the police get there. So, they pretend there’s a fight and tell the police that Jun-seok ran away with Mo-ne. Do-hyuk rescues Han-na, and everyone thinks he’s a hero. He shows Han-na’s face to everyone to keep her safe from K.
Jin-mo goes to see Han-na in the hospital, and his helpers realize Do-hyuk wants to save Han-na because she’s Jun-seok’s daughter, and she could reveal his secret identity.
Chan-sung is impressed with Do-hyuk’s smart moves, so he tells his assistant to write news stories about Do-hyuk being the new hero and K being the bad guy. At the hospital, Jin-mo warns Do-hyuk not to chase K because he’s become stronger. Jin-mo’s words don’t bother Do-hyuk, but he’s touched when Han-na hugs Jin-mo after her doctor’s visit.
K is worried that Lee Hwi-so will get into Luca, so he tells it to log out everywhere. He says he needs Save’s security program to protect Luca, and we find out K didn’t hurt Mo-ne because he needs her to reach Chan-sung. La-hui talks to Mo-ne and learns that her mom is the most important person to her.
My mom. She's always saying she's sorry. She always thinks she's below others. But her love for me is sincere.
K’s helpers come to his place, and he shows them Mo-ne to warn them not to turn against him. He tells them to find Lee Hwi-so, and after they leave, K and La-hui agree on who will take the blame and pretend to be Jun-seok. K lets Mo-ne out of a bad place and tells La-hui to watch her and steal Save’s security program. He also offers ten million dollars to anyone who can find Jun-seok.
Somewhere else, Do-hyuk is wondering why Medusa hasn’t called him and who they are. Mo-ne’s mom leaves Do-hyuk’s secret spot, thanking him for helping her. She says she’ll go away so she won’t cause trouble for Mo-ne and Han-na.
Do-hyuk and Ki-tak are worried K will find her, so they go looking for her. Mo-ne is about to meet Chan-sung when she sees her mom outside her house. She’s upset with her mom for causing trouble. Mo-ne’s mom looks at her, drives away, and doesn’t come back.
At the meeting, Chan-sung asks Mo-ne about her mom, and Mo-ne finally tells the truth about her fake life and how she pushed her mom away to keep her fancy lifestyle. We learn about Mo-ne’s past before she was famous. Chan-sung is so surprised by Mo-ne’s story that he leaves suddenly.
So, K talks to Mo-ne’s brother and makes him think he wants to protect their mom. He asks the brother to tell him when their mom calls. La-hui wonders why Chan-sung left so quickly and has someone keep an eye on Mo-ne.
Mo-ne’s mom uses a phone to call Chung-soo and agrees to meet near Kyung-soo’s place. Kyung-soo ignores his mom when she shows up, acting like he doesn’t know her. But later, he feels bad and tries to find her, but she’s already gone.
Meanwhile, Chung-soo finds his mom at a bus stop, takes her in his car, and calls K for a meeting spot. Do-hyuk and Ki-tak are frantically searching for Mo-ne’s mom.
When Mo-ne gets home, she hurts her finger and is worried about her mom. She texts Do-hyuk to check on her mom.
Chung-soo takes his mom to the spot K told him about and gives her a sleeping pill. K then hurts Chung-soo to make it look like he hurt himself and tries to make it seem like Jun-seok did it. Jin-mo and others come and push the car off a cliff to hide what happened.
Do-hyuk goes to the cliff to see who K hurt this time. Ki-tak doesn’t want him to go, but Do-hyuk insists. Mo-ne hears that her mom was hurt by Jun-seok and is very upset, crying in the rain.
Do-hyuk gets a call from Medusa and is upset because they knew what was going to happen but didn’t stop it. Kyung-soo is heartbroken over his mom, and Do-hyuk is angry when he sees K laughing at the sad scene.
At the funeral, Kyung-soo is mad at Mo-ne for their mom’s death. Do-hyuk tells him K is to blame. Do-hyuk sends flowers signed as Lee Hwi-so. La-hui is impressed with Do-hyuk but reminds him of another sad event.
Mo-ne is very sad and leaves the house. Do-hyuk wants to help her, but Chan-sung does first. Mo-ne faints, and Chan-sung takes her to the hospital. When she wakes up, she wants to see her mom, but Chan-sung comforts her.
Make use of me as much as you can and try everything you want... I'll happily become your puppet. (Chan-sung to Mo-ne)
We learn that Chan-sung helped Mo-ne a long time ago and promised to collect a favor when she’s famous. Later, Mo-ne marries Chan-suk and promises to focus on getting back at Geum La-hui.
After the credits, we find out that Mo-ne’s mom wasn’t in the car because La-hui saved her and used another body instead.
Review
Episode 4 of “The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection" clears up the mystery about Chan-sung’s part in the show, and we learn he has his own reasons to be upset with Jun-seok. It’s not clear how much he knows about what happened in the first season or what he’ll do to reveal K’s secrets.
The episode shows us why the bad guys who caused Da-mi’s death acted that way, making us wonder if they should get another chance. It makes us feel mixed emotions, and Do-hyuk really shows us what we’re feeling when he acts kind and tries to make Mo-ne feel better. He feels sad when he sees Jin-mo being nice to Han-na.
What do you think? Will Do-hyuk go easy and focus his anger just on K? Should Jin-mo, Myoung-ji, Ju-ran, Chul-woo, Mo-ne, and La-hui get a chance to make things right?
