The 7th episode of the tvN drama "Marry My Husband," which aired on January 22, reached a new high of 9.4% in average nationwide ratings, according to Nielsen Korea. This is a significant jump from the previous episode, which had 7.8%. Congratulate the actors and staff of "Marry My Husband" for their amazing achievement!~

Ji-hyuk accepts his fate

In episode 7, Ji-won shares her discoveries about her new life with Ji-hyuk. She tells him her plan to make Min-hwan and Su-min fall in love and get married. They continue their conversation at Ji-hyuk's house, where Ji-won bonds with his cat.

Ji-hyuk asks her why she doesn't escape from this mess. She explains that she has to transfer her fate to someone else because the scar on his arm used to belong to her.

The scene flashes back to Ji-hyuk placing Ji-won's urn in a niche. His car breaks down as he leaves, so he takes a taxi. The driver is Ji-won's father (or his ghost, to be precise). Ji-hyuk confesses to him how he wishes he had been closer to Ji-won before.

Ji-won's father wonders what he would do differently if he had another chance. He says he would protect her with his life. In the present, Ji-won questions Ji-hyuk about how he traveled to 2013. He lies and says he just woke up in the past one day after falling asleep.

The next day, Joo-ran arrives at work and receives a call from her jobless husband, who asks her to pick up their daughter from school later. She runs into Ji-hyuk's grandfather's secretary — Lee Seok-jun. They look at each other and it seems they have a history.

He's determined to make Ji-won happy

Ji-hyuk gets a call from Hui-yeon and rushes to the office. The reason is Seok-jun's arrival. He is here as an HR representative to look into the issue with the meal kits. But they both know it's actually because Ji-hyuk's grandfather wants to monitor the situation between Ji-hyuk and Ji-won.

According to his rules, Joo-ran will take over the meal kit project from Ji-won, who will still be part of the team. Ji-hyuk announces this later and Ji-won is upset.

Min-hwan and Su-min, however, are thrilled to be on the team. Min-hwan gives Su-min some strawberry milk and informs her about the company's workshop.

After work, Ji-hyuk drives to the river and thinks about everything he's found out — especially the fact that he will die unless someone else takes his place. He goes to Eun-ho's restaurant and quizzes him to see if he is also from the future.

Eun-ho calls Hui-yeon when Ji-hyuk drinks too much and faints. She comes to help and Eun-ho realizes she is Ji-won's friend.

Ji-won can't reach Ji-hyuk on the phone at home. The next day, his grandfather summons him and tells him he can cancel his wedding with Yu-ra. He wants to see Ji-won, but Ji-hyuk says it's not possible. He leaves, resolved to make Ji-won happy.

Ji-won is closer to changing her fate

At the office, everyone is talking about Roijental's stock value going up and Min-hwan accuses Ji-won of taking his share. He distracts Ji-won from her computer and Su-min notices that Ji-won has bought the stocks. She buys some too.

Min-hwan invites Ji-won to a fancy dinner, but he says he has no money. Ji-won offers to lend him some, but only if he keeps his TKU stocks. She suggests they go somewhere with Su-min on the weekend instead.

They have a picnic together. Min-hwan removes a bug for Su-min and Ji-won remembers him doing the same for her. She pretends to get a call from work and have to leave.

Ji-hyuk learns whether Eun-ho is a player

Min-hwan offers to teach Su-min how to ride a bike after Ji-won is gone. But the call was actually from Eun-ho, who gives Ji-won flowers near her office. Ji-hyuk sees this.

Ji-won meets Ji-hyuk and tells him about the picnic. Ji-hyuk tells her about Lee Seok-jun and how he is a problem. He vows to help Ji-won as much as he can.

Ji-hyuk visits Eun-ho's restaurant again and says he is trying to figure out what kind of person he is, and if he's a player.

What happens at the workshop?

The next day at work, Ji-won and Joo-ran let Hui-yeon plan the next workshop. They play a game at the retreat and get assigned rooms based on the game.

In her previous life, Min-hwan got the 5th flag and slept in a sleeping bag. Su-min got the 1st flag by tricking Gyeong-uk. Now, Su-min and Ji-won hear Hui-yeon say she hid the flag in the stream.

Ji-won runs into Ji-hyuk and says she has something to tell him. She doesn't want his help; she wants to do things by herself. She asks him to be her confidante. Ji-hyuk shows her the blue heart on his chest.

He says her father sent him to help her, so she should accept it. She tells him to think about his own happiness and goes to get the flag in the stream.

Su-min finds Min-hwan alone and sad in the woods. She fakes an injury and gets his attention. She flirts with him and asks him to get the flag for her.

Ji-hyuk finds out that the stream is dangerous and deep. He saves Ji-won, who almost drowned trying to get the flag. He asks her why she never asks for help.

She says that being independent is what makes her different from Su-min. He recalls Ji-won saying she felt like she was on a boat. Ji-hyuk says he wants to be solid land for her.

"Love Song for Illusion" episode 6 ratings & recap

Another drama that saw an increase in ratings was KBS2’s "Love Song for Illusion." The 6th episode of the fantasy romance drama scored 2.5% in average nationwide ratings, up from 2.0% in the previous episode. The story follows a Crown Prince and his struggle with his alter ego, Ak-Hee.

In the previous episode, Crown Prince Sajo Hyeon allows Ak-Hee to control his mind and body to rescue Hong Ye-Ji’s Kyera. They escape by jumping into a river and end up sharing a kiss in the water. The following episode starts with Sajo Hyeon regaining his consciousness and breaking away from the kiss. Later, they go their separate ways, but Kyera returns to save the crown prince from being stabbed.

Why did villagers want Park Ji-Hoon’s Sajo Hyeon dead?

In "Love Song for Illusion" episode 6, Park Ji-Hoon’s Ak-Hee is angry when Sajo Hyeon comes back to his senses. After getting out of the water, Kyera tells the crown prince everything. When she tries to leave, he stops her, saying that he still doubts her innocence, referring to the king’s murder.

On the other hand, Sajo Hyeon feels calm when she embraces him, and he feels a shiver as Ak-Hee attempts to call him. They dress up as commoners and hide in a villager’s house. The two have some romantic moments as they spend the night together in a room. The next day, Sajo Hyeon decides to set Kyera free. While saying goodbye, he asks her if she will join the Wind Knives (a rebel group) again. She says she will not let Hwang Hee’s Sajo Yung become the new king.

For context, Sajo Yung is a bastard son of the late king and a half-brother of the crown prince. He is a member of Wind Knives and has turned the villagers against Sajo Hyeon. Because of his influence, a group of villagers form a rebel group to kill Sajo Hyeon and make Sajo Yung the new ruler. Hong Ye-Ji‘s Kyera learns about it after the crown prince departs.

While Sajo Hyeon makes his way back to the palace, a huge chaos erupts. The royal guards assault innocent people, and some commoners search for the crown prince. When a man grabs Sajo Hyeon, he attempts to stab him, but Kyera shows up at the right moment. She and some Wind Knives men rescue him.

Sajo Hyeon becomes the new King

After Kyera takes Sajo Hyeon to a safe place in Love Song for Illusion Episode 6, she urges him to fight back. But he says that he will not return to the palace and will do nothing as he deserves to die. Kyera gets mad and says that Ak-Hee is better than him, so he should let him take over his mind.

Kyera’s words wound him, and he pins her against a wall, saying that he's afraid that he will become like his father. The next scene shows the crown princess and her father exposing to Sajo Hyung that the king’s murder weapon belongs to his mother. To save himself, Sajo Hyung orders the guards to imprison his mother. His plan to seize the throne fails when Sajo Hyeon comes back.

The crown prince claims his rightful place and becomes the new king. He sees that his wife has reduced Kyera from Concubine Hyo to a maid. She tells Sajo Hyeon that his lover gladly accepted her fate. He then remembers telling Kyera that he wanted her by his side so he wouldn’t become like his father.

"Love Song for Illusion" episode 6 ends with Sajo Hyung finding out about the new king’s alter ego.
