[Dec 16] New Records for “Welcome to Samdalri” & “Maestra: Strings of Truth” as Ratings Soar

Two dramas are gaining popularity among viewers!

The fifth episode of JTBC’s “Welcome to Samdalri” reached a new peak in ratings on December 16. The romantic series achieved an average of 6.7% nationwide, according to Nielsen Korea, making it the highest-rated episode so far.

Another new drama, tvN’s “Maestra: Strings of Truth,” also broke its own record with its third episode. The mystery thriller topped its time slot among all cable channels with an average of 5.4% nationwide.

SBS’s “My Demon” matched its highest rating of 4.7% as it concluded the first half of its story.

MBC’s “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract,” which competes with “My Demon” in the same time slot, maintained its solid performance with an average of 8.0% nationwide.

KBS 2TV’s “Korea-Khitan War” also saw a rise in ratings for its latest episode on Saturday, when it usually has lower ratings than on Sundays. The historical epic scored an average of 9.7% nationwide, its best result for a Saturday episode.

Lastly, KBS 2TV’s “Live Your Own Life” remained the undisputed leader of Saturday programs with an average of 16.7% nationwide.
