[Dec 9] “The Story Of Park’s Marriage Contract” & "My Demon" Reache New Highs In Ratings

The drama ratings war is getting more intense over the weekend!

Several dramas achieved their best ratings ever on December 9. Nielsen Korea reported that MBC’s “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract” increased by over 2 percentage points for its sixth episode, which nearly hit 10% for a record high of 9.6%.

SBS’s “My Demon”, which competes with “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract” in the same time slot, also reached its peak ratings for its sixth episode, which recorded a nationwide average of 4.7%.

KBS 2TV’s “Korea-Khitan War” likewise broke its own record with its most recent episode, which garnered an average nationwide rating of 8.9%.

On the other hand, tvN’s new drama “Maestra: Strings of Truth”, which airs at the same time as “Korea-Khitan War”, had a strong start. The first episode of the new show starring Lee Young Ae achieved a nationwide average of 4.2%, surpassing the premiere ratings of its predecessor “Castaway Diva” (the drama that used to occupy its time slot, which debuted to a nationwide average of 3.2%).

JTBC’s new romance drama “Welcome to Samdalri” kept its average nationwide rating of 5.3% for its third episode, while KBS 2TV’s “Live Your Own Life” continued to be the most popular show of Saturday with an average nationwide rating of 16.7%.
