Kim Tae Hee will join the cast of JTBC’s “Welcome to Samdalri” for a special role. The drama’s production team confirmed on December 20 that Kim Tae Hee agreed to appear in the show as a gesture of support for Kwon Hye Joo, the scriptwriter who also wrote the popular 2020 drama “Hi, Bye Mama.” They also shared that Kim Tae Hee completed her filming on December 18.
“Welcome to Samdalri” is a drama directed by Cha Young Hoon, who also directed “When the Camellia Blooms.” It tells the story of Ji Chang Wook’s character Jo Yong Pil, who hasn't left his hometown Samdal on Jeju Island and has dedicated his life to protecting its people. Shin Hye Sun’s character Jo Sam Dal is his childhood friend who grew up with him in Samdal, but unlike him, she had a strong desire to leave their small town and go to Seoul.
The next episode of “Welcome to Samdalri” will be broadcast on December 23 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
