JTBC’s upcoming drama “Queen of Divorce” has revealed some pictures from its script reading session!
The drama tells the story of Sara Kim (Lee Ji Ah), the best divorce problem solver in Korea, and Dong Ki Joon (Kang Ki Young), a quirky lawyer who fearlessly helps “bad spouses” get their deserved justice with their solutions.
The script reading session was attended by director Park Min Seok and writer Jeong Hee Seon, as well as actors Lee Ji Ah, Kang Ki Young, Oh Min Seok, Na Young Hee, Kim Sun Young, Lee Tae Gu, and Seo Hye Won.
The actors were full of enthusiasm, passion, and positive tension. They quickly immersed themselves in their characters as soon as the script reading started.
Lee Ji Ah plays Sara Kim, the leader of the divorce settlement company Solution. She used to be the daughter-in-law of the most prestigious law firm in Korea, but she lost everything overnight after her husband betrayed her. She then became a divorce problem solver who provides customized solutions to those who want to punish their bad spouses.
Lee Ji Ah impressed everyone with her unique charisma and energy. She expressed empathy with her eyes when listening to the clients’ stories, and she showed vitality in her lines with subtle gestures and movements during action scenes.
Kang Ki Young plays Dong Ki Joon, Sara Kim’s business partner and Solution’s advisory counsel. He was a former prosecutor who had an exceptional sense of persistence and intuition, earning him the nickname “Shepherd.” He had the highest prosecution rate in the Southwestern District Prosecutors’ Office, but he resigned for some reason.
Kang Ki Young perfectly captured the character of the relentless “shepherd” Dong Ki Joon. His clear and lively voice while solving the cases and his smile brought Dong Ki Joon to life, adding energy to the script reading session.
Lee Ji Ah and Kang Ki Young skillfully portrayed the subtle tension between Sara Kim and Dong Ki Joon as they gradually became closer while working on the cases together. Their way of punishing the offending spouse heightened anticipation for their performance in the drama.
Oh Min Seok added tension by skillfully portraying the two-faced personality of Sara Kim’s ex-husband No Yul Sung, who acts like a well-mannered competent man on the outside but hides his deep desires on the inside.
Kim Sun Young, who plays Song Jang Mi, the CEO of the divorce settlement company Solution, showed off her cheerful and lively energy alongside Lee Ji Ah, heightening anticipation for their womance chemistry in the drama.
Na Young Hee, Seo Hye Won, and Lee Tae Gu, who play Chairman Cha, Kang Bom, and Kwon Dae Gi, respectively, also participated in the script reading.
