"Maestra: Strings of Truth" is a drama adapted from a French novel of the same title. It tells the story of a female orchestra conductor who faces various challenges and mysteries in her orchestra and tries to overcome them. Cha Se Eum (Lee Young-ae) is the conductor who lives passionately and confidently, but she also has a secret that no one knows, which changes her life completely.
Kim Young-jae plays Kim Pil, Cha Se Eum's husband and a composer. He is a loving and supportive partner for Cha Se Eum, both in music and in life. He is gentle and considerate, and he soothes Cha Se Eum's hectic life with his beautiful piano melodies.
However, Kim Pil suffered from a severe slump after returning to Korea. He hoped that he could write new songs outside of Cha Se Eum's shadow, but his project could have gone better. He started to fear that he would lose the fame and honor he gained thanks to his wife.
Kim Pil always smiles warmly in front of others, but he feels empty and lonely when he is alone. As Cha Se Eum comes back to her homeland after 20 years, viewers are curious whether Kim Pil will be able to find his own path and grow together with Cha Se Eum. "Maestra: Strings of Truth" will air on December 9 at 9:20 p.m. KST. Will you give it a try?
