The KBS Hall in Yeouido was the venue for the 44th Blue Dragon Film Awards, which celebrated the best films of the year on November 24. The hosts of the glamorous event were Kim Hye Soo and Yoo Yeon Seok, who returned for their second year.

The film "Smugglers" was the biggest winner of the night, taking home four awards: Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor (Jo In Sung), Best New Actress (Go Min Si), and Best Music (Jang Ki Ha).

The film "The Night Owl" also impressed with three awards: Best New Director (Ahn Tae Jin), Best Editing (Kim Sun Min), and Best Cinematography and Lighting (Kim Tae Kyung, Hong Seung Chul).

Another notable winner was "Concrete Utopia", which won two of the most prestigious awards: Best Director (Um Tae Hwa) and Best Actor (Lee Byung Hun).

Jung Yu Mi received the Best Actress award for her role in "Sleep", while Jeon Yeo Been was named Best Supporting Actress for her performance in "Cobweb".
