“12.12: The Day” broke 1 million views in 4 days with its star-studded cast

The Korean box office has a new hit with the film “12.12: The Day,” which features a stellar cast of actors.

The Korean Film Council reported that as of November 25 at 1:35 p.m. KST, the film had attracted 1,000,918 viewers since its release on November 22. This means that the film reached the 1 million milestone in less than 4 days.

“12.12: The Day” joins the ranks of the 4 Korean films of 2023 that have accomplished this feat, along with “The Roundup: No Way Out,” “Smugglers,” and “Concrete Utopia.”

The film, which stars Hwang Jung Min, Jung Woo Sung, Lee Sung Min, and others, is based on the true story of the political turmoil that followed the assassination of President Park Chung Hee in 1979.
