Lim Ji Yeon & Choo Young Woo to lead new drama: "The world isn't black & white"

A new drama featuring Lim Ji Yeon and Choo Young Woo as the main actors has been confirmed by JTBC.

The drama, titled "Tale of Mrs. Ok" (working title), is about a female slave in the Joseon Dynasty who rises to success by pretending to be someone else, including her name, status, and husband.

Lim Ji Yeon will portray Ok Tae Young, a female lawyer in Joseon who is admired by everyone for her kindness and generosity. However, she is hiding a secret that her name, identity, and husband are all fabricated.

Choo Young Woo will act as Cheon Seung Hwi, who devotes his life to protecting Ok Tae Young. He is a mysterious man who wears a veil and travels around the country telling stories to people. He falls in love with Ok Tae Young at first sight and supports her unconditionally even after he learns about her true identity.

The production team commented, "The world is not black and white, and there are many stories that cannot be easily judged. 'Tale of Mrs. Ok' is a drama that explores the stories of such people. Please anticipate the chemistry between Lim Ji Yeon and Choo Young Woo, who will bring realism to the characters of Ok Tae Young and Cheon Seung Hwi, who had to live under false names."

"Tale of Mrs. Ok" is expected to air in 2024.
