Love Song for Illusion Ep. 2
On the other hand, KBS2’s “Love Song for Illusion” saw a decline in its ratings for its 2nd episode. The fantasy romance drama, starring Park Ji Hoon and Hong Ye Ji, only got an average of 2.8% in nationwide ratings, compared to its first episode’s 4.3%. The drama is about a crown prince with an alter personality who falls in love with an assassin. The 2nd episode shows how Sajo Hyun changes back to his normal self and gets angry with what Ak-Hee did. He thinks of letting Kyera go, but he saves her from the King later on.
The episode starts with Ak-Hee (Park Ji-Hoon) telling Kyera that they are close to each other. She has no memory, so she trusts him. The next day, Ak-Hee is gone and Sajo Hyun is back. He learns about Ak-Hee's plans for Kyera.
The King asks them why they switched the dancer, and Sajo Hyun lies to protect Ak-Hee's girl. He says that he liked Kyera, so he made her his wife. She agrees with Sajo Hyun and seems to like him too.
Sajo Hyun, who has a secret shop in the city, goes back there. He sees Kyera, who ran away from the palace. He lets her go and does not stop her. The palace finds out that she is gone, and the guards look for her. Sajo Hyun helps her from a guard and tells her to come back to the palace with him for now.
She finds out that she can fight well and has some memories of her past. Sajo Yoong (Hwang Hee), the King's other son and a spy in Kyera's group, is worried about Kyera. He doesn't know that she's now a wife.
Sajo Hyun talks to Ak-Hee in his mind after he saves Hong Ye-Ji's role. Ak-Hee thinks that Sajo Hyun is trying to trick him with his girl, but Sajo Hyun says that he was just nice to Ak-Hee's love.
The guards bring Kyera to the King, who says that she is a killer. She doesn't remember, so she says no. The King tells the guards to hurt her until she tells the truth.
Sajo Hyun comes in and stops the King from hurting her. He says that he will tell the truth. It looks like he will help Kyera, but then he says, "She is a killer." She is shocked by his lie, and he feels guilty.
Tell Me That You Love Me Ep. 13
Lastly, “Tell Me That You Love Me”, starring Jung Woo Sung and Shin Hyun Been, had a slight increase in its ratings. The drama achieved an average of 1.6% in nationwide ratings, up from its previous episode.
Mo Eun's anxiety is understandable. She needs reassurance because she feels insecure, and he has clearly told her that he has no feelings for his ex. But that's not the real issue, so it doesn't satisfy her. I wished she would communicate better with Jin Woo and share her worries with him, especially when he was reaching out to her. They used to talk so well, but now they're having trouble.
The scenes with the students were a welcome relief from the overall sadness of the episode. I enjoyed it when Jin Woo said he saw himself in them. It was also moving how the students asked Jin Woo to stay with them and called him their friend.
