The new MBN drama “The Crown Prince Has Disappeared” (working title) will star EXO’s Suho and Hong Ye Ji as the main leads.
SM Entertainment announced on January 3 that Suho will be part of this new historical rom-com.
The drama is a romantic comedy that takes place in the Joseon era. It tells the story of a crown prince who gets abducted by the woman who is supposed to marry him. As they escape from danger, they fall in love with each other. The drama is written by Kim Ji Soo and Park Chul, the same writers who created the hit drama “Bossam: Steal the Fate,” which broke the record for the highest ratings in MBN history.
Suho, who has proven his acting talent in various projects such as the musical “Mozart” and the drama “Behind Your Touch,” will show a different side of himself as he plays the role of the kidnapped crown prince Lee Geon.
Hong Ye Ji, who was confirmed as the female lead in November, will portray Choi Myung Yoon, a woman who excels in horseback riding and medicine. Kim Min Kyu is said to be in discussions to play Prince Dosung, the oldest son of King Haejong’s second wife, who gets involved in a complex love triangle with his older brothers Lee Geon and Choi Myung Yoon. Myung Se Bin and Yoo Se Rye are also confirmed to be part of the cast.
“The Crown Prince Has Disappeared” will air in the first half of 2024. Don't miss it!
