Coupang Play’s new romance drama “What Comes After Love” could have Hong Jong Hyun as one of its main actors!
A source from his agency SECRET ENT revealed, “He is considering the offer favorably,” after Sports Chosun announced on January 3 that Hong Jong Hyun might join the new series “What Comes After Love” as a main character.
The drama is an adaptation of the popular joint novel by Korean writer Gong Ji Young and Japanese writer Tsuji Hitonari that came out in 2005. It tells a fateful love story of a Korean woman named Hong (Lee Se Young) and a Japanese man named Jungo (Sakaguchi Kentaro), who fall in love in Japan and meet again in Korea five years after their separation. Lee Se Young and Sakaguchi Kentaro were confirmed as the main leads in December.
The reports say that Hong Jong Hyun is being offered the role of Min Joon, Hong’s fiancé who has been in love with her for more than 15 years. Hong Jong Hyun has shown his acting skills in various roles such as “Jungle Fish 2,” “White Christmas,” “Scarlet Heart: Goryeo,” “The King Loves,” “Mother of Mine,” and “Stock Struck,” making fans look forward to his next work.
