The new drama series featuring Song Kang Ho’s first-ever appearance on the small screen has announced its airing schedule!
The drama, tentatively titled “Uncle Sam Sik”, will be available on Disney+ in the first half of 2024, as confirmed on January 3.
“Uncle Sam Sik” follows the story of two men, Uncle Sam Sik and Kim San, who forged a bromance and pursued their ambitions amid the chaotic times of the early 1960s in Korea.
Song Kang Ho will take on the role of Uncle Sam Sik, while Byun Yo Han will play Kim San, a brilliant student from the Korea Military Academy and a recipient of the Albright scholarship. Joining them are Lee Kyu Hyung as Kang Sung Min, a potential future leader, Seo Hyun Woo as Jeong Han Min, an elite soldier who trained with Kim San as another Albright scholar, and Jin Ki Joo as Joo Yeo Jin, Kim San’s love interest. In June of 2023, it was also revealed that Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany Young will be part of the cast.
