"Live Your Own Life" episode 40 recap
Kang Tae Ho (played by Ha Jun) found out that he and Kang Tae Min (played by Ko Ju Won) are real brothers.
Myung Hee (played by Jung Young Sook) told Kang Tae Min the secret of his birth. That day, Kang Tae Min went to Choi Myung Hee and knelt down and begged, “Please help me. Please save my father. Grandma. Please.” Choi Myung Hee said, “Are you so precious to your parents? What about Tae Ho?” and questioned him.
Myung Hee told Tae Ho, “Tae Ho is your younger brother. It’s my fault that this happened. Don’t do that to Tae Ho. Tae Ho is your real brother. You two are brothers.” She continued, “I’m sorry. It’s all my fault.”
Myung Hee said, “Your father Jin Beom didn’t have any children for a long time after he got married. So he got more hatred from your grandfather. He said he was a miserable bastard who couldn’t even carry on the family line. But then Jun Beom, who got married late, got pregnant first and had a son. Then your grandfather went to the Saudi construction site himself for a year and called his eldest and youngest sons alternately and worked there.” She confessed the truth.
She continued, “So I lied that the eldest daughter-in-law was pregnant, and as soon as the son was born from Jun Beom, I tried to give him to Jin Beom, the eldest son of the house. It was a desperate situation for me. I couldn’t stand to see my eldest son who was beaten up even after he became an adult and got married. I thought it was right then. I thought it was for everyone. I’m sorry. Can you forgive me for not telling you two sooner?”
Tae Min said to Myung Hee, “What am I? Grandma. How can I live without knowing your own brother and parents until now? You should have told me sooner. If I had known that Tae Ho was my brother, do you know how jealous I was when I was young?... Do you think I wasn’t lonely? Do you have any idea how hard it was for me to come this far alone in the world with my father who was drunk every day?”
Tae Min said, “Grandma, what did you really want to get by doing this? What did you get by tearing apart your real brothers and tearing apart the parents and children for this long time? Tell me what you wanted to get by doing this. I won’t forgive you. You know that.” He stormed out of his seat. Tae Ho heard the conversation between Tae Min and Grandma, and found out that he and Tae Min were real brothers.
"Live Your Own Life" episode 41 recap
Kang Tae Ho and Kang Tae Mi took a step closer to each other as brothers.
In the 41st episode, Kang Tae-min was confused to find out that Kang Tae-ho was his biological brother.
Tae-min resigned from his company and tried to atone for his birth parents by giving up everything.
Tae-ho went to find Tae-min and persuaded him, “I have your resignation letter. Come back.”
Tae-min said, “No. Everything I’ve seen for the past 40 years was a vacuum cleaner and a Christmas tree. What’s the point of that? What’s the point of having Taesan now?”
He continued, “I tried to protect everything with my heart and effort, but it was all fake.” He blamed himself.
Tae-ho said to him, “What you did for Taesan was real, wasn’t it? You solve the Daegwallyeong accident. I’ll go all the way with the company. We can’t leave the company that our grandfather and father worked hard for to be damaged by our uncle and aunt. The Daegwallyeong accident is our parents’ business, so please take care of it.”
He added, “To be honest, I’m a bit embarrassed that we’re brothers. I’ll approach you slowly. Brother.” He reached out to Tae-min for reconciliation.
