"A Bloody Lucky Day" Tops Ratings Chart in Its Debut, Beating "The Matchmakers"

tvN's latest drama "A Bloody Lucky Day" has made a strong start in the Monday-Tuesday ratings race!

According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode of "A Bloody Lucky Day" recorded an average nationwide viewership rating of 4.1%.

The drama is based on a webtoon of the same name and follows a thrilling story of a taxi driver, a serial killer, and a grieving mother. Lee Sung Min plays Oh Taek, a taxi driver who agrees to take a passenger to Mokpo for a high fare. Yoo Yeon Seok plays Geum Hyuk Soo, a serial killer who hires Oh Taek to escape after committing a murder. Lee Jung Eun plays Hwang Soon Gyu, a mother who is determined to catch Geum Hyuk Soo, who killed her son.

On the other hand, KBS2's "The Matchmakers" saw a slight drop in its ratings, scoring an average nationwide rating of 3.3%, down from 3.7% in its previous episode.

The 8th episode of "The Matchmakers" will be delayed due to the broadcast of the South Korea versus China match for the second round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification.
