What a Casting! New Drama “The Trunk” Casts Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun Jin as Leads

 

Netflix revealed that they are producing a new drama called “The Trunk” and that Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun Jin will be the main actors.

The drama is based on a novel with the same title and tells the story of NM, a company that arranges marriages based on contracts with the desired partners. The director of the drama is Kim Gyu Tae, who has worked on “Our Blues,” “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo,” “It’s Okay, That’s Love,” and “Live,” and the writer is Park Eun Young, who wrote “Hwarang.”

Seo Hyun Jin will play Noh In Ji, the deputy head of NM who chooses not to marry even though she works in the marriage industry. And Gong Yoo, who is globally known for his epic role in "Goblin," will play Han Jeong Won, a music producer who ends up in a marriage contract with In Ji through NM after his first marriage fails. The drama will unfold the secrets behind NM when a mysterious trunk is discovered in a lake.

This will be the first time that Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun Jin, who are both signed under Management SOOP, will collaborate on a project. The airing date of the drama will expectedly be in 2024. I'll keep you updated!
