My Demon Ep. 12

On the other hand, SBS’s “My Demon,” which competed with “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract” in the same time slot, recorded a lower rating of 2.9% nationwide.

The episode showed how Guwon and Dohee were reincarnated from Lee Seon and Wolshim, who dreamed of a world of equality and justice but faced the barriers of social class and persecution for their faith.

Guwon and Dohee vowed to overcome their fate and be happy together, despite the fear of repeating their past tragedy. He also confessed his memories of his human life to Dohee, who accepted him unconditionally.

This episode also featured the shocking death of Nodokyung, who committed suicide after being pressured by his father and abandoned by his wife. Dohee suspected that her father was involved in his death. The episode ended with a cliffhanger, as an evil force threatened to harm Guwon and Dohee.

My Happy Ending Ep. 3

TV Chosun’s new drama “My Happy Ending” improved its ratings to 2.5% nationwide for its 3rd episode. In this episode, while Seo Jae-won (Jang Na-ra) couldn't shake her distrust and suspicion about her husband Heo Soon-young (Son Ho-joon), unexpected and shocking facts popped up everywhere, making the drama hyper-focused.

Korea-Khitan War Ep. 15

KBS 2TV’s “Korea-Khitan War” reached a new record high in viewership with its latest episode, which scored a nationwide average rating of 10.2%. I enjoyed this historical work. It was done with great tact and concentrated on the war efforts.  In the end, the Emperor chose wisely to disguise themselves and escape the notice. A gratifying episode with remarkable accomplishments!

Welcome to Samdalri Ep. 11

JTBC’s “Welcome to Samdalri” dropped to a nationwide average rating of 7.3%. The episode begins with a flashback of the Cho sisters' past struggles and how they overcame them with their smiles. Sam-dal recalls the kiss she shared with Yong-pil, but runs away from him when he tries to remind her. Yong-pil waits for her outside the room until she comes out and asks him if he can handle her leaning on him.

The next day, Sam-dal finds her father and Dae-young sleeping near the door after a night of drinking. Dae-young reveals his plan to build a theme park in Samdal-ri to stop Mi-ja from diving, which makes Jin-dal waver. Meanwhile, Yong-pil follows Sam-dal around and tries to get her to go with him to a special place.

A conflict arises between the divers of Namdal-ri and Samdal-ri over the theme park project. The two groups clash in a fight, which is stopped by Yong-pil and his friends. Jin-dal tells Dae-young to go back to Namdal-ri, but he persuades her to stay with him and help him with his plan. Sam-dal finally agrees to go with Yong-pil, who takes her to a scenic spot.

Hae-dal feels envious of other people's achievements and posts pictures of her daughter on social media. She remembers Ji-chan's words of encouragement and smiles. Ji-chan sees her posts and realizes that Ha-yul is her daughter. Sam-dal and Yong-pil reach their destination and Yong-pil gives her some coffee to remind her of their past.

Yong-pil asks Sam-dal why they broke up and tells her that the reason isn't as strong as their love. He says that he will try his best to waver her again and kisses her. Sam-dal responds to his kiss with tears in her eyes. The episode ends with the two of them embracing each other.

Maestra: Strings of Truth Ep. 9

Meanwhile, tvN’s “Maestra: Strings of Truth” declined to a nationwide average of 4.7%. The drama is a remake of the French show Philharmonia, which aired in 2019. The plot of the episode revolves around Se-eum's collapse, resignation, and discovery of being poisoned.

Se-eum collapses during a concert and is taken to the hospital. She decides to resign from the orchestra and leave for a trip. She also agrees to divorce her husband Kim Phil, who isn't happy with her decision.

Jeong-jae, the CEO of the orchestra, supports Se-eum and stays with her, promising to wait for her until she is ready to get treatment. He also finds out that Se-eum has written farewell letters to her father, indicating that she has thought about ending her life.

Meanwhile, Dong-sik, a detective who is investigating the murder of Bong-ju, a violinist in the orchestra, finds out that the DNA found at the scene does not match Se-eum's. This surprises him.

A-jin, a pregnant violinist and mistress who hates Se-eum, rejoices at the news, while Luna, a cellist who is supposed to be on Se-eum's side (but highly like not), tries to convince her to stay. Luna also finds out that Tae-ho, Se-eum's assistant, has been sending messages to Jeong-jae about leaving food and coffee for Se-eum in her office. Se-eum's father receives a phone call from the hospital, where Se-eum left her blood sample, and learns that the blood contains traces of poison.

Se-eum thinking Jeong-jae is trying to poison her leaves him shocked. I think the possible suspect behind the poisoning and murder is Luna. I also can't praise Jeong-jae enough for his warmth and support, which all of us can see and feel except Se-eum :)).

Live Your Own Life Ep. 30

Lastly, KBS 2TV’s “Live Your Own Life” continued to be the most-watched show on Saturday with a nationwide average rating of 17.5%. It made me happy to see Tae Min's wife's annoyed expression. She had it coming. How could she force him to marry her by threatening him? He isn't a bad person, even though he has some faults. He should find someone more suitable for him.
